[closed] someone is feeling famished
Who: Reign Fear (
eaudevamp) & Diva (
colorature)
What: A certain young lady is getting hungry, and a certain young man provides.
When: Mid-March
Where: Diva's place, Olympia
Warning(s): None for now, will add; blood-drinking?
[ When Reign had received Diva's text, he'd been undeniably worried, half over what further mayhem she might have caused, and the fact that something may have happened to her. But it turned out that she was bored, and hungry. In addition to that, her guardianbabysitter Solomon, was currently busy at work.
And thus Reign decided to bring some supply of blood for her. None of those synthetic ones that Orbiters provided, of course, because he knew just how much Diva hated those. He took two glass bottles with him in a bag, making certain to have it warmed up before that. As much as he was worried about leaving his pet giraffe, Scorch, at home, Reign felt it was even less safer to take the animal along. So Reign made certain to leave enough food for the giraffe and gave it lots of loving before he headed for Diva's place.
He followed the direction of the address she gave him, arriving soon enough with a knock on the door. ]
Diva, Your Majesty? It's me, Reign.

Diva, Your Majesty? It's me, Reign.

Once, when I was doing a quest with someone else. I'm not too fond of it.
[ He remembered the odd things he and his partner did after having a taste of dragon blood. Hooo, boy. It was a wild ride. ]
Anyway, I brought some blood for you. Let me pour some out.
[ Lo and behold, Reign actually brought two wine glasses as well, because that's what he usually drank from. But Diva was free to grab the bottle and drink straight from it instead. ]
no subject
As soon as the bottle's been uncorked the bloodlust is evident in her gaze. She watches him intensely, the way a cat would their prey, before she's offered the drink.]
Thank you.
no subject
You're welcome, Your Majesty. It's only right for me to be of service to you.
[ He took the seat opposite hers, clinking their glasses together before taking a sip from his own. It may not be as satisfying for Diva compared to biting down and drinking from a living person, but this would have to do. ]
I can leave the bottles here for when you need more.
no subject
If you don't mind, I'd like that.
[What's this? Good behaviour?]
no subject
Reign wondered why hadn't Solomon at least stock up on blood for Diva, or at least the both of them. Going hungry wouldn't be good for Diva if she decided to snack on someone. ]
If you ever need more, you can tell me.
[ He took another sip, contemplating his questions. ]
Is something else on your mind? [ A pause. ] Did you enjoy the dragon blood?
no subject
[Kind of the vampire equivalent to eating a ghost pepper and downing a bunch of red bull.]
I don't know...I have a lot of free time and a lot of freedom. I'm not really used to it so I don't really know what to do.
no subject
He hummed with a tilt of his head. ]
Do you have a hobby? Something you're good at? Maybe a talent?
[ Other than munching on humans, of course. He decided to give her an example. ]
I've a bit of passion when it comes to scents, which is why I'm planning to open up a perfume shop soon. Perhaps there's something you can do about yours.
[ Her singing, for one, could be useful. Reign had definitely heard her name mentioned. ]
no subject
[Better than good, even. She won that talent contest set up by the king with minimal effort. That said, she wouldn't consider it a hobby. It's just something she does. It's a part of her.]
Reign, you make perfume?
[Well that's something new she's learned today. She perks up at that, suddenly interested.]
Will you make some for me?
no subject
[ For one, Reign knew Shades Darker occasionally had some who sang during the evenings as entertainment. ]
Yeah, I do. I used to have a perfume business in my old world. [ He hummed at her request, truly contemplating it. ] I could, I guess. Do you have any particular scent that you like?
[ What if she came up with something like "human-scent"? Or "blood-scent"? ]
no subject
[It's not like she doesn't like singing in front of others and her voice is rather divine, but her voice does have, er, certain qualities to it.]
Roses.
[That's probably the most normal answer Regin will ever hear come out of Diva's mouth.]
no subject
[ If only Reign knew those "certain" qualities of Diva's singing.
Either way, Reign was indeed quite surprised by her choice of scent, though it was also a normal answer as well. ]
Mn, that can be done. I'm already working on a few samples with flower scents. I'll let you know when I've one prepared for you. Are roses the only flowers you like?
no subject
[If only. He'll learn about them soon enough. She takes another sip of her bloody drink, wiggling a little in her seat.]
No, I like other flowers. I just don't know the names for many of them.
no subject
[ Did Diva want to try sing a bit for Reign? ]
Oh, I could bright a book with images of flowers, and you can point them out to me. Will that work?
[ Although some flowers would appear similar, and may be confusing to pick. ]
no subject
[And as for the flowers bringing a picture book might actually be helpful.]
Yeah! Bring a book like that!
no subject
[ Perhaps Diva's song wouldn't have any effect on Reign. Who knows. ]
Very well, I'll bring the book when I next visit with more bottles for you.
[ Bottles of blood, if Solomon couldn't find more reserves. ]
no subject
[Just, y'know, if he had any doubt. Deciding to down the rest of the content of her glass, she wipes her mouth with the edge of her hand before standing. It's not hard for her to pick a song, and after a moment of composing herself she parts her lips to begin to sing.
It's a minor melody, the lamenting sadness and pining of the lyrics shining through. What's immediately apparent is the haunting, vexing quality of her voice. It's impossible to do anything but give her one's complete and undivided attention. The longer the song continues the more Reign may feel the desire to do just what she seems to be begging in the lyrics, to return the love to her that seems to have left in the first place. There will be an overwhelming feeling of pining, of wanting to soothe her apparent distress...
For a being who knows nothing of love, she sure can sing about it.]

[ Reign replied happily enough, pleased to continue be of service to Diva. If there was anything that would make her happy or content, he'll do the best of his ability.
When Diva stood to sing, Reign sat up straighter, and though he couldn't understand the lyrics of the song, the haunting emotion from her voice was enough to make his eyes water. For all of Diva's childishness and occasional violence, Reign could acutely feel how lonely she was.
Before he knew it, and by the time Diva finished her song, Reign had wordlessly put his arms around her in a comforting embrace. Diva may even have noticed a few stray tears streaking down Reign's cheek. ]
no subject
...Are you sad?
no subject
He shook his head, cheek brushing against the side of her head before slowly pulling back He wiped the tears with the back of his hand, smiling sheepishly. ]
No, I'm not. It's just... the song you sang. It's very beautiful. Well, a bit sad, somewhat lonely. That's what the song made me feel.
no subject
[At least she seems cheery.]
It is a pretty song, isn't it? I've always been fond of Lully's music, so I made it a point to learn a lot of it.
no subject
It really is. I really do think you should sing more. Maybe I could check and see if Shades Darker is hiring. It would be lovely to hear you sing.
[ Besides, it would probably be a good place for Diva to find human blood as well, hopefully without fatally killing them. ]
no subject
[Pesky Chevalier.]
I like singing. It makes me happy.
no subject
[ Hopefully Solomon would allow Diva. It would be quite a pity to hide Diva's talent. ]
I'm glad to hear that. I don't know anyone from my world who can sing so well, or have such a beautiful voice.
no subject
It's special, my song. I'm not surprised you've never heard another voice like it.
[Still, it's clear she's proud. Pride looks good on her, the way she wears it. Better than a look of childish mania by far.]
no subject
If I dare say so, your voice is the one and only in this current world.
[ Diva being prideful or childish was tons better than when she was angry or being violent. Reign definitely preferred her this way. ]
Oh, maybe when I open my perfume shop, I could invite you to sing as an opening?
no subject
Of course! [It's an exciting prospect, one that has her suddenly clasping his hands in hers, giving them a squeeze.] I'll sing anything you'd like!
no subject
#justbusinessthings
He squeezed back gently, a giddy smile on his lips. ]
Then something happy and cheerful, encourage them to buy my products~ Oh, I may even have your special perfume prepared for you to put on.
[ Yes, make Diva the poster girl. ]
no subject
I can do that. I'll sing and work them into a frenzy. All they'll want, more than anything, is to obtain what you've to offer them. It won't be hard.
no subject
[ Diva please control, just a bit. Though Reign felt he didn't need to worry too much. ]
no subject
They won't riot don't worry so much Reign! They'll just be excited.
no subject
[ Oh, look at the time! ]
I should be leaving soon. Scorch will be hungry and I need to feed him.
[ Reign gave Diva another hug, giving her a smile. ]
If you need any more supply of blood, you can just message me. I'll bring the book about flowers as well.
no subject
[Look at the time indeed. In fact, she wants to punch the clock suddenly, now that Reign's decided he wants to leave.]
Oh...If you must.
no subject
I have to, but I'll always come when you call, all right?
[ He leaned down and kissed Diva's cheek gently, patting her head. ]
In the mean time, you can think about all the songs you want to sing, yes? Please give Solomon my regards too.
no subject
Solomon is supposed to come when I call. He can't disobey me. It's in his blood...but you're not a Chevalier. What if I call and you don't come?
no subject
My Queen, even if I'm not your Chevalier, I, Reign Fear, give you my word that I'll come when you call.
[ A pause. ]
I'll do my best, of course, unless I'm held back.
no subject
Well, he gave her his word. She'd just have to take it.]
Okay.
no subject
Hopefully she wouldn't throw too much of a tantrum. Oh well, Solomon would have to deal with her instead. ]
