miles | how many new things can one girl do in one night
Is this friends going out for drinks? Is this a date? Is this like...some sort of in-between state? Does she have to decide right now?
Farah's gonna go with 'no' on that last one, she's decided, just as she rings the bell to announce that she's arrived. ]

The sound of bells still made him wince, his heart racing in a low panic. He took a series of small deep breaths as his dog had already run to the door, barking excitedly.
This was fine. He was only going out for a few drinks. He liked Farah, from their last interaction. But the thought of being outside, since the incident, gave him anxiety. He opened the door with his free hand, moving his foot in front of the wriggling Pomeranian who was trying to break free.]
Good evening, Farah. Thank you for coming.

[ The barking, combined with the bell, had set Farah to feeling jumpy - a reminder, both, of bad things in the not so distant past, but she only showed it by shoving her hands deep into the pockets of her jeans. Of course, it was a small dog, and Farah smiled at Miles before smiling at the small mass of moving fur, ready to grab it if it jumped past Miles' shoes. ]
I'm glad you're feeling up for it, but if at any point you're not...just let me know, we can come back or change course. Whatever you need.
[ If he felt dressed down she felt absolutely slummy. She had on a patterned button-up and heavy denim over her polished boots, but that was partially upbringing and partially repetitive motion that had helped calm her mind when she was cooped up at home. ]

[The cheerful wriggling mess of a dog regarded his master for a moment before settling down on the floor by the door.]
Stay. Good boy.
[Using the few seconds of time he had before Pess would try to follow him out, to slip out the door and closing and locking it quickly behind him.]
Goodness, Pess is always so excited to meet new people. I'll pick him up a treat at the bar, otherwise, he'll let me hear it when I come back.
That is very kind of you. I'll be sure to let you know if I'm not feeling good. How have you been holding up?

I think I've been in a sort of fugue state about things? I'm fairly certain I slept for sixteen hours straight, at one point in the last few days.
I've had enough of that, I think.

I know that feeling, my best-friend had told me I was out for two entire days after I was found, and have been in bed for the rest of the week.
I suppose its time to get reconnected to the world then?
Farah, I don't believe I asked. What was your occupation back home?
