Honestly, there ain't much that I know that you prolly haven't heard already.
[It'll be another moment--Shura has to pay for the food, but she's generous enough to get some for Percival, too!! But after that, she'll lead the way to her place.]
My student disappeared a couple days before, so I was focusin' on trying to track down his dumb ass.
[There's something rather vexed in her tone, her jaw clenching tight for a second. It really isn't a long walk, five minutes at most. It's not fancy, but it has a door! It's kinda empty inside, but there's a couch and other basics.]

[ He shifts his gaze to her direction as they near her house. It's true, her house has a door, which is more than Percival can say for his own home right now. ]
You're a teacher? I shouldn't be surprised, I hardly know anything about you. [ Though the reverse is likely true.. ]

[That pause is enough to tell Shura what might have happened. In the middle of it didn't begin to describe what Percival had probably seen. He needed more than a drink in that case.]
It ain't like it was a choice of mine. His dad was my teacher and he asked me to train the kid if something happened to 'im.
[She motions toward the couch when they enter. Shura's rude, but he's still a guest and she does have some vague sense of decorum.]
Yer righ', though, we don't know a lot 'bout each other. So tell me what kinda drink ya want.

Is that so? That's very noble of you. Were you able to locate him after all?
[ He takes a seat, grinning at the question. ]
Wine, if you have it. But I'm not particular about my drinks, so you needn't go out of your way.
[ Surprisingly not picky. ]

She'll answer his next question with a quiet tone. It's easier to say it when she looks away from him. ]
He's in stasis. [And then, without skipping a beat,] But wine? Aaah, what kinda girl do ya think I am, huh~? [ She ain't that classy. But hey, she has beer?? She'll take a second in the kitchen, but she'll return with some kind of decent beer in her hands for him. ]
Here~

He grows quiet, not quite sure what to say in response. ]
I'm very sorry to hear that. I hope he returns soon. [ At least she can be assured he's safe, he supposes...
Shura doesn't seem like she wants to follow up on that much, though it's still difficult to read this woman. He stands, taking the offered beer graciously. ]
Beer is more than adequate. [ He takes a look around their surroundings. ] Do you live alone?

Shura sits opposite of Percival, drawing her legs up under her as she snaps the tab on her beer.]
Yeah. Kid was with me, but-- [She shrugs. Now he's not there anymore. She had put Rin's things away once she had confirmed his return to stasis, but now what?]
I'm used to livin' on my own, anyway. Hardly stayed at any place I had 'cause of work. Now it's pretty much the same kinda thing again.
[Though odd mercenary jobs paid less than her old exorcist job, boo.]

Work? What sort of work?
no subject
Exorcist--ah, y'know, demons and ghosts and crap like that. Don't have the same exact problems here, but it ain't like I don't know how to fight an' all.
[And maybe she should ask, just because that's what people who aren't afraid of building relationships do and this guy should be good practice--]
An' you? What was it you did before everythin' went to shit?
