Trust is earned, not given
Who: Jessica Jones (
assholic) & OPEN
What: April's catch-all
When: Beginning of April until at least the 21st (likely also usable for log threads from the event)
Where: Wyver; The pubs, her home with Clark, the arenas. Thesa Station; Visiting the pods to check on her people, the bars.
Warning(s): As this post will also be available for the memory share event, there is a possible warning for discussions and/or graphic descriptions of sexual assault and violence. I'll update which threads need to be warned for. Usual warning of language and possible sexual content. Update: Jessica/Brock's thread has a cw for sexual assault memories.
I: Thesa Station
[When the whole idea of living rustic got a bit too much for her, or when she just wanted to stop feeling like she was being judged or watched by everyone in Wyver, she headed up to the station. She figured she'd get in as much time there as she could, considering how long they'd been locked out from visiting before. Their tech seemed to be iffy at best. Plus, they had better alcohol there that she knew wasn't laced with anything magical, and that right now as an immense bonus.
There was also Trish, and lately, Jess had a lot to talk to her best friend/sister about, and it was killing her that she wasn't there, wasn't really there to give her advice. Or laugh at the shit she'd gotten herself into.
So on Thesa Station, Jessica could be found either hanging around Trish's pod, drinking herself into a stupor, or heading to sleep it off in a corner/cot/room. There's also the wildcard option, if none of those fit.]
II: Wyver
[Despite wanting not to, she still lived in Wyver. She had people down there she gave a shit about, and despite part of her thinking they'd be better off without having to deal with her shit, there was too much going on right now for her to think about leaving them. No one was safe on the planet. Not in either town. But for the moment, even after her... ordeal, she was sticking with Wyver.
That choice might have something to do with the person she lived with, but she wasn't about to tell him or anyone else that.
In Wyver, Jessica could be found working at the Arenas for money to burn, trying to avoid the odd accolades some shops were giving her because of the ring she'd been seen with in public before stuffing it in her pocket, drinking herself into a stupor, and trying not to get herself into more shit than she was already in. That might be a tall order. There's also a wildcard prompt if none of these suit.]
III: Memory Share - (CW: Potential mention of sexual assault/trauma/violence with some of Jessica's memories)
[As if what she'd gone through hadn't been enough, now she was seeing other people's thoughts? Or... memories. The whole thing played like a VR snippet of someone's life, and she felt a growing sense of dread that the next bubble she got caught in would be her own instead of someone else's -- a fact she was bothered by enough considering the immense invasion of privacy that it was, one that crossed a line beyond snooping and taking pictures of someone in the act. This sincerely bothered her, and for the duration of the event, she would be very... unsettled.
(As a large lump of memories from Jessica's canon/past deal with sexual assault/violence/drug abuse, I'd like to make sure anyone who'd like to play with one of her memories is fully understanding of the scope of them and to double check on what people are comfortable with. Please PM or PP me (
junglewere) if we haven't already talked about it or it's new CR, or just to make sure we're all on the same page and no one is made uncomfortable or upset by anything threaded.)
This can be a prompt for either people to come across her memories, or her to come across others. Or, there's a wildcard option if you'd prefer.
IV: Wildcard
[Wildcard in general. If none of the other options are what you'd like or you have a specific scenario in mind, please feel free to write your own starter or msg me for specifics if you'd like.]

[She nudged at him now that he was sitting beside her, smile too wide because that buzz was melting through her like something warm and numbing and just what she needed.]
You know a dolphin can kill you if it comes inside you? You think he has like... super psi sperm? Blowing holes through doors since 1942?
no subject
[Sparring with Rogers was like being used as a punching bag sometimes, but he had enjoyed it. It was a real challenge to his skills, even if he only won if they called to 'first blood' and he didn't play fair.]
Doubt it. Bet he could hit a homerun the moment any gal pulled the catcher though. Like... grand-slam home run.
no subject
[Pregnancy was already scary enough without thinking that you were going to wind up with a goddamn 'Aliens' moment.]
no subject
[He shrugged his shoulders though. There had been wide debate in HYDRA how useful Rogers would be if push came to shove. The army of Super Soldiers business was long over as a debate.]
Hard to say if the kid would get any of the serum effects. Might just be a scrawny little bean-sprout choking on air.
no subject
Maybe. You got yourself snipped? No little broccolis running around?
no subject
[He glanced at her, sizing her up.] You gonna be a mom someday? Or your ovaries are too shrivelled by bitterness to even bother?
no subject
[The idea sent a shiver up her back, and her nose wrinkled at the mere thought of it.]
'Sides, the asshole overlords said they pretty much neutered everyone, so... all the fucking with none of the regret.
no subject
[He must have missed that part of the speech, but it was more likely that he hadn't cared. He was getting a bit too old for babies, and he had seen maybe a bit too much chemical warfare to trust anything he produced.]
Aw man, I had my hopes and dreams all set in knocking you up. Super strength ruggedly handsome children! [He snorted in amusement and stroked his palm across her shoulders.]
no subject
Please. They'd have to take after me in looks otherwise they'd get beat up. Trust me, Rummy, it's better if neither of us ever breed. Especially not here.
no subject
Shut your filthy mouth! I was adorable and then I turned out downright sexy. You were clearly a gangly kid.
[He sighed and lay his cheek on her shoulder.]
We'd be terrible parents. We'd be those parents the government literally had on call to take the kid the moment it came out.
no subject
You'd be the stay at home dad. Wearing an apron. Making cookies. Talking about Captain America's dick.
no subject
I know how to cook. I bet that's more than you do. [He poked her in the ribs.] If you eat a solid meal more than once a week, I'd be shocked.
no subject
[She grinned, flinching a little from the prod, shoving back at him a bit.]
I eat when other people cook for me.
no subject
[He rocked with her shove, moving off of leaning on her and then slouching a bit on the bar.]
So your listener person cooks for you?
no subject
[She moved to tug at the waist of his pants, pretending to glance down at them.]
no subject
[He tugging almost pulled him off his stool, mostly because he was leaning anyway. He slapped her hands away all the same.]
I know you're thirsty, Jones, but come on, we're in public.
no subject
[Her friend... friends were up in the station. Cold and sleeping. Well thanks, Brock. Sour her mood again.]
If you're the whiskey dick type, you could have just said so. Here I thought you had stamina.
no subject
[He wasn't offended, figured that she'd be touchy about it anyway. They gave too much back and forth to make it work, too guarded.]
I ain't the whiskey dick type. You weren't complaining on the station anyway.
no subject
[It's what she'd found, after all. Being in a new place didn't magically make that not a thing.]
No, but you weren't this drunk on the station. Bet if I dragged you off, you'd just fall over, or worse, just lay there. Lazy, Rumlow.
no subject
[He rolled his eyes and actually went for another drink, likely against all better judgement. He winced a bit and then returned to leaning up against her, a hand smoothing up and down her back.]
I'm never a lazy fuck unless I've passed out, and I haven't been that drunk since I was seventeen.
no subject
[Okay, so yes, she liked the feel of that soft rubbing up and down along her back, even through her jacket. Maybe he needed soothing more than she was willing to admit. It had been a rough night, after all.]
no subject
[Maybe they both needed soothing in their own way, and so far she wasn't punching him off of his stool, so it was a win. He hummed and gave up on drinking more at this point. The alcohol was thick in his blood and she smelled nice despite them having been in an alley.]
no subject
[She grinned at him, leaning into him a little, resting the hand she wasn't holding her drink in on his thigh.]
no subject
Do you fly straight, or do you sort of... stagger and hit the ground?
