[i. IVY]

[ The warmer weather is a welcome thing for the plant shop. With more beginning to bloom and sprout in Olympia, Maximus can fill the shop a bit more. Even better is the addition of Wyver tourists coming through. While most go straight for the cove, a few pass through the market place in the city, and Maximus is ready to help supply them with a special keepsake from their visit. Of course, he's happy to supply locals, too. Come by and gather something for your own business or hobbies, place an order, get a succulent to spruce up your home, or maybe inquire about some special imports from Wyver. ]

[ii. THE COVE]

[ Maximus is drawn to the cove before he's never really seen a beach in person. He doesn't much care for the sun or the sand. The heat is enough that he's shrugged out of his jacket and rolled up his sleeves, and he squints at the water as the sun glints off it. He imagines it must be quite nice when it's cooler, or maybe in the evening. For now, he'll stick to the vendors and the shade, thank you kindly. ]

[ Reign had heard about this particular plant shop before, walked past the store a few times by now too. Today, though, was going to be his first time stepping in.

For now, he would peruse the various plants from both Olympia and Wyver, trying to see if he'll come across one he may need as materials for his perfume making. It was always better if he could find some sort of supplier for his business.

He wondered if this store would sell those harder to find floras, the ones often deemed too dangerous to be sold commercially. ]

[ Maximus lets the man look around a bit. He's not going to hover or try to chat, but he'll glance up occasionally from where he's trimming some leaves. When he gets the sense that the man is looking for something a bit more particular, perhaps, Maximus finally moves over. ]

You seem like a man whose seeking something particular.

[ Reign glanced towards the owner, a nod of his head as he tapped his chin. ]

As a matter of fact, I am. I was wondering if you've any specimen of Crystal Suqush?

[ It was a rare plant native to Wyver, occasionally found in private gardens and rarer still in the wild. ]

[ He pauses, having to think. The name doesn't ring a bell. ]

Sadly, I don't think I do. That said, I'm certain I can get it for you in a relatively timely manner. Now that the borders between cities are opened, it shouldn't be all that difficult.

[ There was a bit of disappointment in Reign's expression, though it quickly passed. With such a rare specimen, no doubt it wouldn't be readily available, but he was pleased to hear that he could still get his hands on the plant. ]

That would be wonderful! When do you think you'll be able to get them?

[ As he asked, Reign took out his phone to show Maximus a picture of the Crystal Suqush, including details about it that hopefully would be useful to the man. ]

[ He takes a look at the photo and makes a note about it, thinking it over. ]

It would depend on when I could get someone to deliver one, but I'm sure it won't be too hard. I'll say a week ... Maybe a week and a half? If I've got to go get it myself, so be it.

That's all right. I'm not in too much of a hurry.

[ He said with a small smile on his lips, glad to know that it was possible to get his hands on the plant. ]

How much do you charge for such specific requests?

[ In all honesty, Reign wouldn't mind paying a little extra for all the efforts going into getting the Crystal Suqush. ]

Well ... I'd have to do my own research on it, and of course depending the effort that goes into collecting it ...

[ It's harder for him to price out Wyver species, but he knows that he can probably ask a pretty price for it, based on this conversation so far. ]

Do you mind if I take your name? I can get back to you about a cost, once I've found someone who's going between here and Wyver.

That's all right. You can give me the quotation when you've found the plant.

[ Reign replied as he nodded in understanding. ]

Oh, no, not at all. It's Reign Fear.

[ A strange last name, though probably not all too strange on a planet like Nysa. Either way, Reign gave his contact details as well so he could be notified. ]

I guess I'll wait for your good news, then.

[Since traveling is a bit easier at this point in time, Jehan absolutely jumps at the chance to be able to expand his exploration. He wanders for a bit, taking in the sights and sounds of the city, before he spots a shop called Ivy.

And anyone who knows Jehan knows that he can't pass up a place that may hold plants.

He gasps when he walks in, hands clasped against his chest, eyes wide in wonder at all the different plants the store has to offer.]

Oh it's perfect.

It is, isn't it?

[ Maximus has been nearby, tending to a plant that needs some trimming. He sets the clippers aside and offers the young man a smile. Maximus recognizes him immediately from the network. ]

You're not from Olympia, are you? Well. Hardly anyone these days is from Olympia, but you don't make your home here.

No, no. I'm over from Wyver. [He moves closer to the proprietor and offers his hand with an eager grin.] Jean Prouvaire, but you're welcome to call me Jehan.

I think we spoke, before. About plants? Over the video.

I believe we did, yes.

[ Maximus smiles, friendly and good natured. His wheels are already turning as he shakes Jehan's hand. ]

Maximus Boltagon. This is my shop. After all, we can't be the only two here with an appreciation for plants.

Oh! It's so lovely to meet you in person, then. And to know you run this shop! You've done very well, it looks beautiful.

Are these all Olympian plants? I've done a bit of exploring, but I haven't seen every plant there is to see in Wyver, I don't think.

For the most part, yes. I haven't been to Wyver frequently enough, and most of my Wyver wares go fast. I do my best to cater to what people want.

Wyver does have very lovely plantlife, it's true! I think I'd rather like to write a book about it, if I could.

[His smile is a bit dreamy as he gently touches the leaf of a plant.] I feel as though I could happily live right here in this shop. I wish I lived closer, so I could ask you for a job here.

Perhaps you could start a nursery in Wyver. Rein in some of the wild ones, cultivate them for houses. I'm sure it'd be a huge success.

Oh! Can -- am I able to do that, do you think? I wouldn't want to get in trouble for doing something against the rules by replanting things on my own property?

I do plan on taking a plant or two home, if I can. Though I don't really have any currency -- I was hoping to trade, actually.

I get the feeling that Wyver doesn't have particularly strict laws.

[ It's hard for Maximus not to roll his eyes, though. Kids. ]

I'm sure we can work something out. What do you have to trade?

I have a very well made pen and a nearly full pot of ink. It's violet in colour, but still quite useful.

I also have poppy powder, which makes a nice tea. And some musket rounds, which might not be useful if you don't have a musket, I suppose.
