I. Chuuya in Wonderland

[After hearing the news that Khalo Village had opened up to visitors for the first time in centuries, Chuuya had decided that it was something he definitely needed to see. Who knows if he’ll ever get another opportunity to explore the place? Visiting new places and experiencing the culture there is always fun, so he might as well go while he can!

Of course that means he’ll have to smoke fyrra, the weed that allows those who aren’t full-blood Khali to enter the village without falling into a deep slumber. It’s pretty much just fancy weed, and Chuuya feels slightly more relaxed after smoking it, but it’s definitely not as good as booze. It does, however, allow him to enter the area around the village, and so he does, not expecting anything to go awry.

So of course he ends up stepping on a large purple mushroom and shrinking down to the size of a thimble. Shit.

Luckily he’s still able to use his gravity manipulating ability, and he’ll climb up the nearest tall tree while waving his arms and shouting in a tiny voice to the first passer-by he sees.]

Oi! Over here! Hey!

II. Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi? [Probably NSFW, Closed to CR]

[Once Chuuya actually reaches the village and obtains the antidote to return him to his normal size he’ll need a break to relax, and what better way to do so than to visit one of the many smoking lounges? According to the locals, regular fyrra is available here, as well a strain that causes “an even higher elevated mood, as well as increased sexual desire and heightened sensation.”

Sounds fun, right? Chuuya already has a head start, lounging on a rather plush looking couch in a black silk robe that resembles a kimono. He seems to be in a good mood.

Care to join him?]

III. Flying High

[Temporary flight potions are readily available in Khalo Village, and Chuuya will excitedly encourage anyone who comes along to drink one so that he can have a flying buddy at long last! Will you take him up on that offer?

Oops, he’s already tugging on your arm!]

C’mon! It’ll be a blast!

IV. Tame the Beast

[The Taming Fields are an area near the village where beasts that the Khali have tamed roam free. Chuuya can’t help but wander over to one of them, a rhinoceros-like creature covered in moss with flowers on its horns (called a Mossley by the Khali), and try his hand at petting it. The creature seems docile and friendly, and it leans into his touch.

According to the locals, Mossleys are drawn to two people with positive emotional bonds, and enjoy laying between them. Will you be one of those people? Or does Chuuya grate on your nerves?

Grinning, he waves over the nearest person to share in the experience.]

Ever seen anything like it?

V. Beach Episode

[When he returns from his excursion to Khalo Village Chuuya will be itching for a trip to the beach, and you can find him on the shore soaking up some sun, in the water swimming around, or enjoying a cocktail in the shade.

However, said cocktail isn’t your run of the mill booze; it’ll turn him into an exact copy of whoever approaches him! How bizarre!

Will you hang out with him on the beach or engage in some silly clone shenanigans?]

[ more pets... Chuuya's so nice. and all this time, he thought there might be some kind of truly evil streak under that skin of his? after all--- he didn't stop Keaton from faux-shoplifting before. ]

They are. But sometimes that's important too... otherwise, what if something bad happens?

[ he's happy to comply with Chuuya's request, reaching back to gently lift him off of his furry body. and then in a flash, shifting back into his normal form but still with the man in his arms. ]

... hi.

[ blep. ]

[He’s a pretty sweet guy under all that bluster, but shh.]

I guess, but no one should be judged at first sight.

[And then suddenly he’s in Keaton’s arms, and his face lights up a pretty shade of red. He’s not trying to move though, because this is actually kind of nice.]

Hey.

[ with Chuuya in his arms, he's not really sure what's so different about this situation? he's carrying the human in a bridal-way, tucking his chin over Chuuya's head, humming in thought. ]

You're right. They should be eaten at first sight, especially if they mean to hurt any of us. And then their bones can be placed in one of the caves.

[ his tail is like usual: wagging in a frenzy. ]

I could eat you right now!

[ but the laugh after has no malice. no real intent to gobble him down. a warm rumble in his chest as Keaton continues to snuggle. ]

[It’s completely different! The furry form was more like cuddling with an actual pupper!! This isn’t!!]

Can’t argue with that.

[Chuuya isn’t used to this kind of snuggling, really, aside from the times he’s curled up with Atsushi and Shell after a particularly emotional conversation. It’s nice, and he ends up resting his head against Keaton’s chest.]

Where are you taking me?

Back out to the sand and the sun. [ which he doesn't mind, though the cave is particularly nice--- he'll have to remember it for the future, if the future ever allows them to one day come back here. ]

Unless you want to stay in here for a while. It's pretty cool, isn't it? I'd love to dig around and see if there's anything neat I could take back with me when I have more time.

[ instinctively, he nuzzles the top of Chuuya's head with his cheek. ]

But I kind of want to roll around in the warm air for a while, too. I haven't had time to do that either.

I’d like to sit in the sun a bit.

[He’s feeling a little chilly, and going outside would do them both good. Who knows when a random storm will roll in? Or better yet who knows when they’ll get to come back here?

He blushes again when Keaton nuzzles him.]

So did you have like...a mate or anything back home?

[He’s curious okay.]

[ he's happy to oblige, stepping out of the cave with Chuuya in tow and sighing in relief once the sun touches his face again. it's nice and warm, still as bright as before, and he returns to where he first bumped into Chuuya and plops down onto his butt. sand splashes out from around him, his tail immediately brushing it away behind him and making little patterns. ]

A mate? [ thinking. thinking. thinking. ] Nope. No mate at home. I have some really good friends here, though.

And you?

[The sun feels nice on Chuuya’s skin, he has to admit, and he soaks up a little as he settles into Keaton’s lap.]

Yeah. I’ve made a lot of great friends here.

[His calm, relaxed expression falters at the question. He should’ve expected this.]

It’s...complicated.

Complicated?

[ that makes his everything perk up as he wiggles his butt in the sand--- getting himself comfortable so that Chuuya could be, too. ]

In what way? I'm sure things can't be that confusing.

[ you like who you like. ]

Yeah.

[Awww cute butt wiggles.]

We were partners until he left. Now he’s here on Nysa, so. It’s complicated.

... that's not a bad thing.

[ he hums while pursing his lips in thought. is his butt that cute? what if he wiggles it some more... ]

It sounds like you got really lucky to have someone you know here. I'd give anything for a pack mate even though I have a home-friend around.

[It’s a pretty cute butt, Chuuya has to admit.

Okay he guesses he’ll quit bitching about Dazai now.]

What about Kaden? Did you ever meet him?

Yeah. Kaden's my buddy, even though he doesn't remember me...

[ which makes him frown, tail curling up. ]

... it's weird, but after seeing and hearing other people wake up, I'm not that surprised anymore.

[ but now he gives Chuuya an extra squeeze. ]

Oh. That’s too bad. I didn’t remember Atsushi either, at first.

[But he had known him from back home, at least in name, so it didn’t take too much longer to get to know each other here.

He reaches up to stroke Keaton’s ears again before laying his head against his chest.]

I’m not usually cuddly, so don’t get used to this.

[Lies.]

Atsushi...

[ familiar sounding name. he can't put a finger on it, but maybe he'll ask some other people later about him. but with that stroke of his ears, Keaton lets out one long sigh before closing his eyes. ]

You sure? I kinda like doing this. I could get used to it.

[ if Chuuya wanted it in the future, of course ]

I think I could make an exception.

[He grins, scratching under Keaton’s chin.]

Why don’t we nap in the shade? I’ve got nowhere else to be.

[ oh... he likes this. while his tail is already hitting maximum speeds, he can barely keep himself from kicking his leg in small circles. ]

Same--- and the shade? Sounds like a plan.

[ which means he'll have to carry Chuuya over, onto the fringe of the sand where trees could give them the right amount of fresh, warm air and cool shade. ]

You might be one of the nicest humans I know around here... I'm pretty lucky.

[Dawww, that’s the cutest thing ever. Coupled with Keaton carrying him over to the shade, Chuuya can’t help but blush a little, and it only grows with that little compliment.]

Heh. If you say so. I wasn’t exactly nice back home.

[ stroking over his hair and resting a hand at the base of his neck, his fingers gently rub and massage that spot. ]

It doesn't matter how you were back home, because you're here. So you can do whatever you want.

[ which is why Keaton's been able to feel so comfortable with almost everyone he's met! ]

[Ah, that’s a nice feeling. Now he understands why pets love being rubbed and scratched like this.]

Yeah. You’re right.

[Chuuya might just fall asleep at this rate, depending on where Keaton rubs him next.]

What, no comment about the collar?

[ more nuzzling, more bumps of his nose against the top of Chuuya's head... he's a pretty good looking human. he wouldn't mind falling asleep either, his ears drooping slightly. ]

Your collar...? Oh! Huh. Normally I only see hounds wear things like those.

[ with a thoughtful hum and rumble, he sniffles. ]

I can’t say you’re wrong, but I wear it because I like it.

[There may be other reasons too, but he won’t go into those. Especially not when they’re pretty embarrassing.]

It’s kind of messed up that humans put them on their pets when the pets have no say, but it’s also good for identifying them in case they get lost.

[He reaches over to poke Keaton’s nose.]

Not all of us have great sniffers, after all.

[ he allows it, though Keaton ensures that poking finger doesn't escape unscathed. opening his mouth, he slides his lips over it and gives it a nip and a suck before letting it go free. ]

It makes you look... cool. [ yes. that's the word. ] But does that make you a pet? And my sniffer is pretty good, I guess. It does what it needs to do.

[ like find his friends. ]

[Excuse him while his brain short circuits for a second. Did he just get his finger sucked? Boy is his face red now...]

[He would willingly belong to someone though. His loyalty runs just that deep.]

[ hey, he's just cleaning what he was being offered! ]

Same. No one will ever own me, either. I think I'm too big for that.

[ not exactly a pup anymore, and he's the leader of his people--- despite his behaviors. ]

Do you want me to shift back...? You could nap on me, if you'd like to take one. I don't think anyone will bother to ask questions, especially if we're both sleeping.
