The World May Have Stopped, And Yet Life Carries On (OTA)

Who: Genjo Sanzo ([personal profile] smithandwesson) & Whoever Wishes to Join In!
What: Sanzo is doing his best to adjust to life back on the orbiter as the looming threat of world destruction lingers within everyone's thoughts.
When: 6/27
Where: Thesa Station
Warning(s): None to be known of! Pure SoL with a little bit of action and heavy talk of the current in-game events.

A. Taking It All Into Perspective

[The battle was over and, technically, they had all lost. It wasn't like Sanzo hadn't been used to such failures, but the concept was still unsettling. While the refugees from other worlds safely went about their lives up in a space station on the moon, the world below them lay frozen in time, just seconds away from absolute destruction.

Sanzo had been in one of the lounge areas. Minding his own business as he sat back in one of the couches by the window. He had a cigarette in hand as he gazed out the window, staring down at the serene image of the world below and the vast space and stars that lingered over the horizon.

It was all so very surreal.
]

Hmph...

[He could not help but look quite serene yet contemplative as he sat there alone.]

B. A New Friend

[Sanzo was casually wandering the halls of Thesa Station, on his way to the mess hall in hopes to get some food. Nothing unusual really, except perhaps if you knew him. For there was one particular thing that truly seemed off about the situation.

No, it wasn't the brand new jewel-encrusted gloves he seemed to be wearing, although his sense in arm-ware seemed to slowly grow all the gaudier as his days living on El Nyssa. Now it was actually what was hanging around his shoulders which should have seemed a little off. Around his shoulders, making fairly loud aggravated chirping noises was a small golden colored monkey.

Sanzo seemed to have a rather aggravated look on his face in the meantime. His eyebrows furrowed and his fists balled as he simply seemed to be tolerating the primates presence. At least, that was the case until the darn thing started shrieking quite loudly.
]

Stop whining!

[And at once did he pull out a fairly large paper far from his sleeve, bopping the thing atop the head, causing it to squeak out and immediately sit quietly upon his shoulder.]

Jeez, you're just as annoying as the last one. It's absolutely legit.

[He mumbled under his breath with a sigh, lightly scratching at the side of his own head.]

3. Training to Relieve That Pent Up Aggression

[It had practically become a daily routine for him, to find himself wandering into the Simulation Stations for some casual training. It was practically meditative for him. The location had already been set up, a dense lush forest that looked similar to the Undergrowth of Wyver. He stood there completely still, seeming fairly calm and relaxed. There was just something about being alone in the wilderness that was both familiar and serene. He could almost believe he was actually back on the planet.

And then a rustling could be heard. His eyes opening at once, eyes narrowed, as he lifted his head to the noise. Jumping down from the trees above, a grown demi-human man, generically thuggish looking fell upon him, took a downward swipe at him with his claws. Sanzo was quick enough to step to the side and dodge despite his robes. The golden crown he had been wearing upon his head falling to the ground as he swerved behind the other man, pulling out the katana that hung from his hips.
]

Too slow.

[Swiping upward he was quick to slash open his opponent, sending him flying in the process.

Sheathing the sword, he serenely turned away, only to face what appeared to be a rather large group of similar thugs. It seemed while the one man distracted him the entire group of his companions were able to sneak about and surround him on all sides.
]

Didn't realize I signed myself up for a group excursion. Seems I've underestimated the program.

[Shit. Now what should he do?]
