[ unfortunately, Emma Swan isn't great with surprises. the flash of light is an unwelcome one and she swears in response, spinning towards one of the bots and an image of the Enchanted Forest that falls at her feet. it's of a castle she was meant to grow up in, a place where she should have more memories if life hadn't had other ideas. she picks it up and finds another photo tucked under the first, this one far more recent.
the second photograph is a little kinder, this time of a yellow volkswagen beetle parked on main street. maybe these images are meant to make her happy, but in some ways, they just make her homesick. she shoves them into her pocket and turns to move, literally stumbling into someone who's fallen into the same trap.
