Atsushi has been planning this for a while now, but needless to say, a certain dragon forced him to adapt his plans, and arguably not for the better. Still, he's determined to make this work! Diva told him she's never had a birthday party in all of her long life, and that is just not all right - so of course he promised her she'd have one this year.

He... should have maybe not said anything, and just done this in secret. Or at least he should have known better than to ask Diva what kind of party she wanted, because she sure had a lot of wishes... That's Diva for you, though. Besides, after more than 170 years without a birthday party, she deserves to say exactly what she wants!

Atsushi has spent more time than he probably should have, decorating a part of Nadril's cave system with fairy lights and anything else he could find. For being in a cave, the setting is very atmospheric! There's food, drinks, and recorded music - not all of it suited for a party, but there are instruments too, for the more talented guests.

A masquerade was Diva's first and foremost wish, and with everyone having limited means and fewer possessions here, masks have kindly been provided by your hosts at the entrance. Some are classy; some are a little unusual; some are -....... Well, you should probably be at the party in time, so all the good masks haven't been taken yet. How well have you disguised yourself? Did you bother to hide your identity at all?

A gift for the birthday vamp is appreciated, but your presence is the biggest gift. There's no better time than the present to forget the unresolved situation elsewhere on the planet, and have a little fun together!

[They've come to a Sorey-ment. Now if only the name was actually pronounced in the right way to make that pun work.

Atsushi's face lights up at that. It's not that he ever doubted their friendship, but hearing Sorey put it that way still warms his heart in ways he wouldn't have imagined possible a year or so ago.]

M-hm!

But I do still want to go exploring with you. If not now, then when we get back to Olympia, okay?

Atsushi’s face is so expressive... which really doubles the internal reward Sorey gets for seeing such a vibrant, almost glowing response upon it. It’s quite the ador(k)able moment. ]

Yeah! [ For a split second, he almost puts up his fist in familiar greeting before refraining. That’s actually a huge compliment -- that Atsushi would remind him so much of Mikleo, he’s reflexively inclined to offer their ‘secret handshake’. Be flattered, Soosh! ]

I’m sure we can find time! [ And here’s a much more fun question: ] Any idea where you wanna start?

Let's see... Obviously we should take inventory of the damages first. Olympia is going to need a lot of work.

Maybe, now that we know what's here in the north, we can explore the area between here and Olympia? And there's a lot to the east that I don't feel familiar with yet either. Then again, I was also thinking it might be good to make a map with all the magical springs around Flona and Wyver, to list their effects and see if they change over time...

I agree about Olympia. If they haven’t surveyed it already, we should definitely do that.

[ He is also a diligent and Good Boy, you see. And no matter what Olympia has and hasn’t done, and what its founders do or do not deserve, he hates to see it in ruin -- and Sorey loves ruins!

Anyway--] Maybe on the way back here, we can explore and chart out what lies between? [ A beat. ] If the weather permits, at least.

[That's a good point, Atsushi supposes... Olympia was frozen - the figurative kind; not the Nadril kind - last he saw, but it may have returned to normal since.

That's kind of scary to consider. It's bad enough being away from there, abandoning the city and Daifuku and his job (WHAT IF HE GETS FIRED?!), but if people actually notice he's missing, he'll feel even worse.

Oh well, not much he can do about that now...]

I'd like that! [He smiles again, more than eager already. Some people are just so nice to be around - and Sorey is a prime example.] ... We should bring some warm clothes. Just in case.
