It's a long story.

( which isn't to say that she won't tell it. it's just that the phrase tends to be an opportunity for people who don't really care to say 'oh no, that's okay' and back out of the conversation. a long story tends to be an emotional one, and daisy knows all too well that most people just don't give a shit about other people's emotions.

but bucky, for whatever reason, seems to actually want to know. he stops, he looks at her, and there's a bit of confusion evident in his face — but there's patience, too, as he waits for her to elaborate. so, she does. )

She tried to declare war. Or, no, she did technically declare war but the war sort of... stopped, I guess, when she died.
