[Rocket stares up at him, expression full of such intense disbelief that it might as well be a direct insult.]

Yeah, okay. [He scratches at the side of his neck. Just take the help, Rocket. You're not in the right state of mind to act like you don't need it.] So wily street urchin with something to prove. [He points at Lance.] Criminal genius. [He points at himself.] And whatever you do, don't pull a weapon until I give you the signal.

[Lance slumps a little with disappointment.]

Oh c'mon! I'm a paladin of Voltron! I'm as tough as [Shit analogies were never his strong suit.] ..a whale. [Nailed it.] And way too handsome to be a street urchin. [#priorities]

[Rocket snickers and heads into the building, standing just a bit straighter. There's not much you can do about being three feet tall, but he's doing his best. Fortunately, the two men standing watch outside of the building that Rocket has staked out aren't gorillas. They're not much bigger than Lance, but way more convincing as street urchins. Maybe he should've had Lance muss his hair a bit.]

Hey you two, go and get your boss. Tell 'em Rocky and the Whale wanna have a little sit-down.

The kids exchange anxious looks, and one nods and goes inside, leaving the other to watch them. He straightens up and crosses his arms over his chest trying to look bigger and he seems to be doing this all while making direct eye contact with Lance. Rocket rolls his eyes so hard they vanish into the back of his skull. The kids are gonna posture, aren't they? God help him.]
