I have too, [ Yoshiko admits, with a small smile. There's a pause...before she decides you know what? Let's just voice the insecurities and get the elephant in the room taken care of already. ]

You know, this is my first date ever. So...if I do something wrong, tell me, okay?

[ Diva's obviously been on a lot of dates before. So she'd know what to do in these sort of situations, right? Just ignore the fact that she's a vampire and therefore might have a different idea of what's appropriate in the first place. ]

_{[She hasn't actually been on that many dates at all. None really, unless you count the pity dates she scored from Lance and Iskander. She isn't really expecting much of anything, in all honesty. She's just happy for the attention.]}

_{[For as demanding and entitled as she can be, Diva for once isn't expecting much.]}

Good! [ Yoshiko says, with a smile. Alright, that's good, she can do this, she's got this, it's just a date! No need to be nervous!

They keep walking: the park is close by, but still a little bit of walking distance. ]

I met your twin, by the way. Saya? She seems super nice.

_{[That gets Diva's head to whip around at the mention of Saya, blue eyes wide as she grins.]}

She's so darling, isn't she? I love her so much!

_{[Diva please chill, your siscon is showing.]}

She's super cool! [ Yoshiko admits. ] I didn't know she was a vampire as well, but it kind of makes sense.

Of course she's a Chiropteran Queen like me! We are twins, after all.

_{[Twins that didn't know the other existed for years and years and were raised quite differently but...to deny they don't have that special connection all twins do would be a lie.]}

Well yeah, but I don't know how your kind of vampirism works. Like, if you had a different sibling, would they be a vampire as well, or could they be human?

They couldn't be human. We're a different species altogether. Only Saya and I can turn humans into Chiropterans, but we're the only true born ones of our kind.

_{[Hopefully that'd answer her question and not make things...more complicated.]}

Then how'd your parents happen?

[ the phrasing is awkward but look, Yoshiko's curious. "The only true born ones of their kind" so like....were mom and dad test tube vampire babies? Are we getting into some sci-fi bullshit as well as the horror manga bullshit? Yoshiko doesn't know and she's blunt and curious enough to actually ask. ]

They're dead.

_{[She says it bluntly, no sadness detectable in her voice as she keeps their hands swinging.]}

I don't know what my father was like, but the man who kept me locked away told me he found Saya and I cocooned in our mother's belly. She was long dead by then, so much so she was a mummy! Spooky, right? But as soon as he cut the cocoons open there we were.

_{[Two little horrifying bundles of joy.]}

What the fuck. Yoshiko keeps walking and keeps holding onto Diva's hand as she takes in the whole story. Cocooned? A super dead mom? This is absolutely more than she was expecting and she kind of just wants to file this away and talk about it later...except there's one detail that Yoshiko can't help but ask about. ]

What do you mean 'locked away'?

_{[Had she never brought it up? Then again, Diva's chatted to so many people since arriving here that it isn't as if she remembers who she's told her dark lore backstory to.]}

I grew up locked away in a tower. I wasn't able to leave until Saya set me free years later.

[ By now, they're at the park. It's a very nice park. There's plenty of trees, a walking trail set up, and (most importantly) the walking trail is smooth with no debris and no cracks in the concrete.

Yoshiko is still super interested in Diva's life (but now also super concerned!), so she keeps up with the questions. ]

They wanted to see if Saya and I could be raised to be proper ladies or if we would be slaves to our instincts. I was the unlucky one who was picked to be raised isolated and alone. Sweet Saya was raised as if she were a normal human girl, with a family.
