[That's here answer. She's quizzical as she eats, but she does not seem opposed after a moment-- It's odd, all the different foods there are. She was used to basic fare that was in some ways tasteless.
Frowning at his response, Saber gives a slight shake of her head.]
I had always felt that all was needed was sustenance. If there was more to it, I would not have requested it. That would have been food better of use to the people.q

Not much of an example, though, is it? A king- [a lady king, he's still getting used to that part] -should be where the people aspire to.
[For all Uther tried to run it into the ground and Arthur has stumbled over the years, Camelot isn't a bad place to live. Even distant Ealdor, the people enjoyed eating. He can see her thought process, putting the people first, but-] The people can't relate to a king who doesn't even enjoy a feast.
[He's genuinely just being conversational here, despite his actual words. King opinions.]

That is not the way I was taught to be king. [She glances at him before focusing on her food once more.] When I pulled the sword of the selection from the stone I understood any childhood ideals were no longer. As King it was my duty to shoulder the burdens so the people could prosper.

I did tell you I made up that bit about the sword at home. So I suppose I don't really understand what the big deal is about it. [Objectively, yes, her story seems to be pretty well aligned with the one he made up - but still, it's a sword. It was in a rock. Hooray?]
I just think the people can rely on a king without the king being... cold.
