❪ introlog: #2 ❫ THE CALM. -- the overflow.
You have spent the last few days on Thesa Station, taking in the knowledge that your world is no more. Perhaps you’ve made some friends (or maybe an enemy or two). Either way, you aren’t expected to spend all of your time on the Station. El Nysa needs you, after all, and you promised you’d help the planet thrive. Are you ready?
Submit any AC eligible thread of participating in this log's prompts for Two (2) Olympia REP points HERE. TRAVEL LIGHT ![]() You're really lucky, new refugee. Because of the efforts of those that came before you, your own descent into El Nysa will be quick and relatively painless. You get to reap the benefits of others' experience. Those that came before you are all well-versed in the art of teleportation now, and descending into El Nysa is simply a concentrated thought away. A teleporter has been placed in the common areas to help the new refugees descend, but for this first time, you're going to need a little guidance. You're going to need to take the hand of someone who has been on El Nysa for a while now and learn the ropes. Hold on tight, Refugee, and don't be afraid when the blinding light hits you. The actual journey will feel like a sudden whiplash— painless, but sudden, and maybe a little nauseating. Keeping your balance may be difficult, and it’s possible you might end up toppling onto your poor partner. Hopefully you’re at least thankful. You have landed in a back alley in the Residential District of Olympia. HOME SWEET HOME ![]() Immediately, you notice that everything you've been told about El Nysa is true. There are people of all races here, and although no one bats an eye at your appearance as you enter the district, a member of the Royal Guard asks for your passport. They have a keen eye, and can tell that although you may be a new refugee to their city, they've never seen you before. Certain rumors of an outside force making preparations to do some major damage has them particularly on edge. It's a good thing the Orbiters made sure you have an Olympian passport ready to go. You present it, and with a small nod, the Guard says nothing more and slaps a patch on your chest; to your surprise, it reads: Hello! My name is... No matter how much you try, there's no removing this sticker. "It'll come off tomorrow," says the guardkeep. "Lots of refugees here, limited housing. It's an easy way to get to know the people you're living with. Though, if you ask me, why are we accepting so many foreigners when so many want to watch this city burn? Well, I don’t give the orders." If someone greets you, the message on the patch will magically change: Secretly, I _____, _____, and _____!There's no telling how they'd known these things, but it likely has to do with Zasere. AGAIN. It may be a good idea to get situated in your new home and set down some ground rules with your roommates. There is also, of course, much of Olympia to explore. FLONA COVE
Word around the city is that one very cute and enthusiastic Olympian, You Watanabe, has been asking around earnestly for the nearest place to find some coastal fun. It didn't take long before a few locals pointed her in the direction of Flona Cove. Maybe it’s a good idea to check out the area. There are only a few more days left of summer, after all. Even if you're not the beach type, exploring a new area certainly can't hurt your understanding of El Nysa. Flona Cove is just a quick train ride away.
![]() BEACH PARTY: Chances are, you've heard about the beach party being organized by You Watanabe, whether it be from her directly or someone who knows her. A lot of careful planning has gone into it, and it looks like a great time, so why not check it out? EARN SOME SILVER 1. While many of the locals came together to offer their hands to provide a bit of entertainment for the surge in tourism, that isn’t to state that they’re fully staffed. Have a few hours to spare? They're willing to pay for your help. Maybe you’re just the cooking champ they needed? The lifeguard who showed up just in time? Or the star salesman at their humble accessory shop so desired? OOC
An AC-eligible thread for 2 OLYMPIAN REP POINTS may be submitted from this log. SUBMIT THE THREAD HERE by OCTOBER 15 11:59 PM EST.
In the event of CAPTCHA, we will be providing an overflow. In the event of a second CAPTCHA, players are advised to move threads to an overflow post on their character journals. These threads remain eligible for AC, AC Rewards, and REP. 1 SILVER = 1 US DOLLAR.

Merlin
[Of course, he notices. He catches them, and compares them in size to the bunch he has grabbed already. He can't begin to imagine what Merlin is playing at -- but he supposes he can have them.]
Hm. I do not think these are mine. I suppose that means they belong to you.
[He's so nice.]
no subject
Oh, no, I couldn't. That would be stealing.
[Gaze.....]
Anyway, you'd like something a bit larger, then?
no subject
Stealing from whom, praytell? I did just tell you that these were not mine.
[He unfurls his fingers, juggling the smaller pieces between them. So yes, he does want something bigger.]
I'm certain I do not know what you mean.

Jae-Ha
[Oh, that's cute. Wrathion can't help the small chuckle that comes out of him. He cannot imagine any Azerothians would say the same about his kind.
Or any of the other flights, for that matter. Their relationship with their planet's denizens was not always so amicable.]
That is a lot of words for "dragon", wouldn't you agree?
no subject
[Honestly, he's so shocked that it gets a pause out of him. He glances this way and that, to make sure that no one else is looking at them, and it seems everyone else here is focused on the actual fighting going on, so he leans in.]
That's certainly a leap in logic. [He's not going to admit it, at least not yet.] Who are you?
no subject
[Don't worry, Jae-Ha -- he isn't quite so reckless, and knows the value of keeping a secret. He doesn't need him to admit it; the reaction was more than enough.]
I am the Black Prince.
[Since they're trading fancy titles.]
And I have chosen the name Wrathion.

Asha Greyjoy
[He is honestly impressed by her haul. He's seen great feats from many adventurers on Azeroth, but he doesn't sense any magic on her -- and she was underwater for quite a long time, seemingly without assistance.
Yes. He likes this one.]
Have you done this before?
no subject
Aye. It is not always this simple. The sea around my home is rough and murky.
[ Merchant ships rarely come to Pyke, but there are a few shipwrecks around. Swimming there is dangerous and suicidal except for the very brave or the very skilled. ]
no subject
Right. No more water.]
Not unlike the shores of Tirisfal, I imagine. Tell me more of it.
[He sits by the pile of gems, picking through them unless Asha makes attempts to halt him. He does appear genuinely interested to hear more of Pyke.]

Maes Hughs
[But as he understood, there are a few hovering around who might not take kindly to the information. He isn't exactly shy about his heritage, but he also knows the value of keeping secrets.
He has a lot of secrets.]
But why ruin the mystery?
no subject
Fair enough, fair enough. Never underestimate the value of a good mystery. Is there anything you would want to tell me? We could trade names. Mine's Maes. And then you can tell me if you have any kids, because I do.
no subject
[Did he just ask him about kids? He chuckles in spite of himself.]
Children? No. Titans, no -- there were far more pressing matters at hand, on Azeroth.
Rhys
no subject
They digitally deconstructed, uploaded, and reconstructed themselves with machines like normal people. ]
My name's Rhys, not "human."
[ But...yeah. That sure is a big, sharp gauntlet and Rhys isn't exactly sure he wants to touch that. So even if common handshaking protocol would dictate you grabbing back with the same hand offered, Rhys instead mirrors to grab Wrathion's awkwardly and bends his arm a little to accomplish it. ]
Try not to scratch the finish okay? I just had this detailed.

Soldier: 76
[Wrathion's head tilts to the side in an almost avian manner -- even with his keen eyes, he hadn't noticed how much older this human actually was, in comparison to the others. The line of his shoulders, the swiftness with which he moved; not even the most skilled warriors he'd known would be in such shape at that age.
Well, not human anyway.]
Have you been doing this long? The fighting pits, that is.
no subject
This stranger seems curious in the detached way of someone who wants to observe without ever participating himself. It's 76's relatively good mood that allows him to reply. ]
Went about five rounds. I figured it was time to give someone else a turn.

Reaper
[Wow, quest rejected. How rude. Wrathion actually sniffs and finds a safe surface to perch on in the lake.
He won't be reduced to begging over a couple of gems, especially since they didn't seem to possess any power at all. At least, not that he could tell.]
If you will not, others will.
[He could have been much nastier -- or maybe he could have been if a certain group of celestial beings hadn't stolen his wings from him. There are enough bleeding hearts in the world that would take pity on him, even if Reaper would not.]
Morrigan
[He's used to Morrigan's tone from many other Azerothians. Wrathion knows what he is -- there were few creatures more disliked than a black dragon. If he spent time to take it personally, he would never get anything done.
So he keeps smiling, and turns to swim a bit closer in spite of her suspicion. He can smell the magic upon her -- caution might not be unwise, but he imagines this to be a fellow refugee.
There were few greater allies than a powerful mage. In this case, he will correct his misstep.]
Have I misspoken? You must forgive me -- I'm afraid I am still adjusting to the various...shortcomings this life is offering.
[He doesn't even mention the favor. There are better treasures to be found -- like information on this woman in front of him.]
Alisaie Leveilleur
[Oh. An elf. How did he not notice the ears before? He's almost surprised she has decided to acknowledge him, after that affront --
But she clearly wasn't any species of elf that he recognized. Maybe she was mortal. Who could say? Either way:]
I'm afraid the water and I have not been agreeing, and I've misplaced some gems at the bottom of the cove.
[Normally, this might be where he'd gesture to the collar of his leathers and red gems but -- well, he isn't wearing them.]
no subject
she glances down at the surface of the water, though, squinting against the flashing light. well, you certainly came to the right elf for help, she's practically part fish. ]
What sorts of gems?
[ and what was he doing bringing them in the water anyway?? ]

Dylas
[Oh. How curious.
It isn't as if he hasn't seen animal-people before. The tauren were one such case -- but never an amalgamation of human and animal. That was different. He'd think they were simply bits of decoration, if not for the fact that they were moving.
A question perhaps for another time.
But he's welcome for the mortality crisis.]I am afraid I am more of a sky-dweller over the sea -- I was hoping you might assist me in retrieving my lost treasure down below.
[Yes. His.]
no subject
[Well, the proposition is interesting enough. A chance to swim is never unwelcome, after all, and helping someone with something they...dropped? doesn't seem like a bad way to spend his time. He might be rough around the edges, but helping out a citizen in need is something he's trying to do more of.
Even if this person just made him question life and death for a second. Look, he's never once thought about whether or not being part-Monster-Guardian-Horse thing has affected his lifespan. And he won't do that now. Instead, he walks closer.]
What'd you lose? I might be able to help.
[There's some emphasis on the word 'might' because Dylas is, well. Rough around the edges.]

Fight club prompt!
The dragon had not escaped his notice, there were few thing familiar from Azeroth so he stuck out a bit. He had chosen to disregard him for the time being, he wasn't certain he was up for the headache dealing with a member of the black flight... however the young one seemed to have other plans.]
Child's play. [He scoffs.]I was hoping to find a real challenge.
[There's a brief moment of consideration as he looks at the dragon, but then he thinks better of it. This place was far too small for the firefight that would be.]
CLAPS
He waits until Illidan moved closer to properly address him.]
I am pleased to count you among our number, Master Stormrage. There are so precious few Azerothians left, it seems.
