❪ introlog: #2 ❫ THE CALM. -- the overflow.
You have spent the last few days on Thesa Station, taking in the knowledge that your world is no more. Perhaps you’ve made some friends (or maybe an enemy or two). Either way, you aren’t expected to spend all of your time on the Station. El Nysa needs you, after all, and you promised you’d help the planet thrive. Are you ready?
Submit any AC eligible thread of participating in this log's prompts for Two (2) Olympia REP points HERE. TRAVEL LIGHT ![]() You're really lucky, new refugee. Because of the efforts of those that came before you, your own descent into El Nysa will be quick and relatively painless. You get to reap the benefits of others' experience. Those that came before you are all well-versed in the art of teleportation now, and descending into El Nysa is simply a concentrated thought away. A teleporter has been placed in the common areas to help the new refugees descend, but for this first time, you're going to need a little guidance. You're going to need to take the hand of someone who has been on El Nysa for a while now and learn the ropes. Hold on tight, Refugee, and don't be afraid when the blinding light hits you. The actual journey will feel like a sudden whiplash— painless, but sudden, and maybe a little nauseating. Keeping your balance may be difficult, and it’s possible you might end up toppling onto your poor partner. Hopefully you’re at least thankful. You have landed in a back alley in the Residential District of Olympia. HOME SWEET HOME ![]() Immediately, you notice that everything you've been told about El Nysa is true. There are people of all races here, and although no one bats an eye at your appearance as you enter the district, a member of the Royal Guard asks for your passport. They have a keen eye, and can tell that although you may be a new refugee to their city, they've never seen you before. Certain rumors of an outside force making preparations to do some major damage has them particularly on edge. It's a good thing the Orbiters made sure you have an Olympian passport ready to go. You present it, and with a small nod, the Guard says nothing more and slaps a patch on your chest; to your surprise, it reads: Hello! My name is... No matter how much you try, there's no removing this sticker. "It'll come off tomorrow," says the guardkeep. "Lots of refugees here, limited housing. It's an easy way to get to know the people you're living with. Though, if you ask me, why are we accepting so many foreigners when so many want to watch this city burn? Well, I don’t give the orders." If someone greets you, the message on the patch will magically change: Secretly, I _____, _____, and _____!There's no telling how they'd known these things, but it likely has to do with Zasere. AGAIN. It may be a good idea to get situated in your new home and set down some ground rules with your roommates. There is also, of course, much of Olympia to explore. FLONA COVE
Word around the city is that one very cute and enthusiastic Olympian, You Watanabe, has been asking around earnestly for the nearest place to find some coastal fun. It didn't take long before a few locals pointed her in the direction of Flona Cove. Maybe it’s a good idea to check out the area. There are only a few more days left of summer, after all. Even if you're not the beach type, exploring a new area certainly can't hurt your understanding of El Nysa. Flona Cove is just a quick train ride away.
![]() BEACH PARTY: Chances are, you've heard about the beach party being organized by You Watanabe, whether it be from her directly or someone who knows her. A lot of careful planning has gone into it, and it looks like a great time, so why not check it out? EARN SOME SILVER 1. While many of the locals came together to offer their hands to provide a bit of entertainment for the surge in tourism, that isn’t to state that they’re fully staffed. Have a few hours to spare? They're willing to pay for your help. Maybe you’re just the cooking champ they needed? The lifeguard who showed up just in time? Or the star salesman at their humble accessory shop so desired? OOC
An AC-eligible thread for 2 OLYMPIAN REP POINTS may be submitted from this log. SUBMIT THE THREAD HERE by OCTOBER 15 11:59 PM EST.
In the event of CAPTCHA, we will be providing an overflow. In the event of a second CAPTCHA, players are advised to move threads to an overflow post on their character journals. These threads remain eligible for AC, AC Rewards, and REP. 1 SILVER = 1 US DOLLAR.

No, there had to be something after Molly left, didn't there?
Killing Selene.
Oh, yes, that was worth it. Suddenly Fitz feels a bolt of shame over thinking it. What, by El, was wrong with him? He really is the killer they made him out to be. If anyone deserved to be awake in this world, it was Kettricken, surely, not him. Not Fitz.]
I was hunting with my wolf. It was before it got truly cold. We weren't beholden to anyone that day.
[Oh, that's better. And not a lie.]
no subject
Well that's... very relatable.
[So lets focus in on the simplest part, shall we.]
It's certainly not cold today.
[The water, in fact, is fairly chilly, but it's a beautiful contrast to the sweat and salt on his skin.]
no subject
-it's been a secret for so long, and then it wasn't, and it's strange to think of it that way again.]
Thank Eda for small favors.
[He says it as he gets in closer. He feels odd, then, like it would be nice to bridge the distance between them and hold on to each other.]
It was winter, back home. Before.
no subject
[Though given what he's wearing it barely seems like the sun can be preferable. He stretches his legs out in the water their full exposed length - almost mid calf - and nudges the other man's foot with his. It's only a small intrusion, a little nudge.]
And who are you beholden to, here? No wolves, but I make that two out of the three.
no subject
[He shouldn't be surprised. There are only two people here. He feels that touch and inches closer and isn't sure why, except that it feels very good. On another day, he would think it was just a very well-done Skill suggestion, but no one here seems to have the Farseer magic, and so he doesn't even suspect such a thing.]
No one.
Not even fate followed me here, it seems.
[He saw the Fool. Asleep.
He presses his leg back, to find skin.]
And you?
no subject
[It's light, though something settles in Prior's chest at the thought of escaping fate. He doesn't think he has, though they've told him he won't die from his disease while he's here.
He's still sick. Can still feel sickness in him, in every cell. It's impossible to feel that he's free of his fate and not just stalling it a while. But, given the only other option? He'll take the stall.]
Did you have a particularly terrible one, at home? And me? Oh, I've never been beholden to a thing except age and beauty.
[And divine propecy but that's not a thing you say right after hello.
Not even to people you're apparently playing a little unmentioned footsie with under the water.]
no subject
He takes a moment, though, and they really are touching now, and Fitz is coming closer. It feels like Prior is one of the few people that Fitz opens up to, and now he doesn't know why, because he doesn't know him at all.
But it's easy. Like Molly, or Kettricken, or the Fool. Well. Maybe not the Fool.]
My fate is-
I shouldn't be alive, is what I've heard.
no subject
[There's only so long you can ignore the curl of someone else's foot under the arch of yours, the brush of ankle against ankle.]
Along with a certain amount of shared space. Why shouldn't you?
no subject
[He shrugs a little. There's no telling who is right. Well. No.
The Fool is right.]
So here I am. Here we are.
[He looks down at their feet.]
I have no idea why I am doing that.
no subject
[In both cases, in point of fact. Prior kicks a foot out just a little, enough to splash them both, and laughs.]
To say I'm not usually so forward may perhaps be a lie. Not outside of very particular circumstances, anyway. A different kind of bath house. I'm not sure why I'm not showing the same restraint today.
[The back of his foot drags a damp path up Fitz's calf to the back of his knee.]
Is it offending you? I don't seem to have any inclination to stop.
no subject
No, I'm hardly offended.
[It doesn't occur to him that any person might find him attractive, let alone a man, but even more, it doesn't occur to him that this is what this particular matter is about to begin with. He moves in just a bit, and puts a hand on Prior, just against his arm.]
This is strange. I don't particularly want to stop either.
no subject
And yet, there's something that makes Prior catch a breath, and swallow it down, hard.]
Oh. Well, that being the case. Is there anything else you'd like to do?
no subject
He has to admit it has been a long time, or what feels like a long time. Huddling for warmth with the Fool was different (it wasn't).]
There.
[As if that asks is this all right, but Fitz would never ask that.]
