[ why this... but okay in this instance, he at least recognizes he probably deserved that slap.

he hadn't been expecting her to turn around just then; he could have at least had said something otherwise. he'd noticed that leanne had others helping her, so it seemed safe enough to just let her be. though in truth he didn't know much about her, she seemed the type to able to inspire loyalty in others.

at a time like this, that was perhaps more important than anything. ]

You seem to be doing well enough, all things considered.

[ Her lips press into a straight line, initially skeptical if his words come from an honest place or if he's only joking with her. Of course, all things considered, she's willing to assume it's the former. ]

Well... I'm not traveling on the roofs yet so I'm doing alright, yeah.

[ But she still needs to hide her face and needs someone to travel with her if she doesn't take the back streets. At the same time those were obstacles that also put others in jeopardy, much to her displeasure. ]

But I can't keep doing the same thing to get around forever. Neither of us can.

Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to start.

[ okay, there's some clear sarcasm in his voice... but he's not entirely joking either. as far as he can tell she's being cautious, but whether she's being cautious enough is another matter entirely. ]

That's true. Remaining here, it's only a matter of time until all of us are caught.

[ he hasn't heard of any of the other named fugitives being taken down yet... but he wouldn't be surprised if its happened. ]

[ Sarcasm or not, Leanne shakes her head. Her and roofs don't make a good combination. ]

So what does that mean... [ It's obvious. Though the idea that crosses her thoughts obviously doesn't leave a lasting impression on her, furrowed brows accompanied by a tug at the corners of her lips. ] Should we just leave Olympia?

Staying here drastically increases the chances of getting caught.

[ he's still hesitant as well though, and its obvious in his voice. if they leave this place like this, will it ever be possible to return? ] Remaining here, trying to clear your name, or fleeing into the unknown. Those are the two choices people like us have at the moment.

[ Honestly Leanne has a number of reasons to stay. Her friends are here, especially close ones, but at the same time she's unsure if she's able to completely trust that she would be safe within the grasp of the Royal Guard. Especially when she's overheard the violence that has begun to spew around the city. ]

I mean we could try Wyver... maybe? I mean you just stated all of our options and honestly I'm not about to let them take me in.

[fakers]

The people here don't have many good things to say about Wyver.

[ which realistically... maybe actually be a point in favor of wyver at this point. at the same time, it's a rather big risk to turn to people that have such a negative reputation. ]

The destination is less important than simply leaving. If nothing else, we can at least return to that Outpost that welcomed us when we first arrived.

It's not like the people of Wyver have anything good to say about Olympia.

[ Cutthroat, she doesn't mince her words and her expression shows that while Wyver remains a mystery for most there's too many unanswered questions about them. Are they truly an enemy? Are they truly someone they should automatically distrust simply because the government of Olympia said so?

It's brief but she chews at her bottom lip, slowly leaning onto one foot and pushing her weight there before she nods her head. A small breath escapes her, but it's not out of relief. ]

But that's not a bad idea, either, like you said... we just gotta get out of here. But we'll need to do it fast before they start locking down and putting more defenses at the gates.

Yes, I doubt they're too fond of this place either.

[ still, more so than the tension between the places, what bothers him is the constant whispering on the street about how wild and unlawful wyver is. though it's probably exaggerated, there's likely some truth to it as well. ]

I've begun studying the defenses of the wall. Breaking through... likely isn't a good idea. If you intend to escape, the best way is likely to find a way to sneak through.

[regives]

[ She scoffs out. ]

That's too bad, I'm only good at going through anything in front of me rather than around it. [ Of course every word shows obvious signs of sarcasm, and if it wasn't evident enough the corners of her mouth twist into a frown. Her arms fold in front of her chest. ]

You can leave it to me with finding a way to slip out.

That may turn out to be a handy ability in this instance.

[ through really seems the only way to go at this point. ]

I'd accompany you, but our chances of success are lower if we remain together. While a single fugitive trying to avoid detection may be possible, two together is all too suspicious.

[regives]

[ For some reason I read two together as taco together. ]

It's fine, I think in this kind of situation it's better if I'm alone. Plus! I think it's time for me to finally do a job all by myself. [ Like she was intending to do back home... but that's neither here or there. ]

I'll tell you what I learn when I can. If I don't get something by at least tomorrow morning... you can just consider me caught.

[ strange... i have no idea why you would. none at all. ]

You seem to have done just fine so far. [ other than getting wrapped up in this mess, anyway. ]

Very well. Though if you find yourself in a compromising position, contact me. [ he holds up his device, which otherwise he's left off, just to make the point clear. ]

Wait now that I think about it Leanne's actually going to motion some finger guns. If they're going to keep the conversation light despite the topic at hand she's at least going to pretend that she's not seconds from tearing her own hair out. ] Still alive, so that's definitely an accomplishment.

[ Dropping her hands she soon nods her head. ]

Gotcha. I should be fine, but... [ It's just good to know that she has someone to lean on if it does go sour. ] Stay safe, okay?

[ he's already begun to depart, though he spares one last glance black. ]

[ and then he'll jump on to a roof or something, because he's a poser like that. ]
