EVENT PT. 1 —
[ 1. Sanctuary: Edmund will be around the Sanctuary primarily because of his sister — he's going to try to keep her in bed rest for the most part, with unsurprisingly disastrous results because his sister is as stubborn as he is — so feel free to bump into him before, during, or after Lucy's arrival and subsequent escape(s) from the Sanctuary. Depending on the circumstances, he's either going to be worried, tired, or annoyed. We'll RNG it.

2. Fight & Capture: Edmund is also going to be around arresting associate NPCs once more information about them has been sent out. (2) are easily captured, with only basic knowledge of weapons training and can be arrested and subdued easily; (2) are well-trained, armed and dangerous, but with the help of another skilled refugee, can be easily taken down; (2) have greater strength and magic at their arsenal, so Edmund will need all the help he can get in order to defeat them — and you might not be successful.

Also, Edmund is looking to capture them only. If your character is more inclined to killing the associates, prepare for some negative CR coming your way.

3. Royal Guard: His main area of patrol is the Nobles District, specifically around the Institute, so he'll be patrolling that place diligently as per his job. Feel free to bump into him there!

4. Outside Olympia: He may be asked to hunt down certain flora/fauna for ingredients needed by the members of the Institute looking to find a cure, so feel free to bump into him outside as well!

[ The moment he finds that his sister is ill, Edmund doesn't waste much time. Claire has been a friend, somewhat of a confidant — and she is competent in her capability to heal and take care of others. Edmund knows this first hand, and trusts her explicitly.

My sister is ill, he types. I will bring her to you as soon as possible. As soon as possible, meaning, as soon as he manages to wrangle her into going, mostly through a battle of stubbornness and sheer will. In the end, Edmund is completely healthy, and Lucy weakens the more she fights him, and he manages to take her to the Sanctuary despite all forms of protest thrown his way. In this, Claire can see, that while Edmund has been kind, somewhat cheeky, and mostly cheerful — there is nothing more prevalent than the worry and love that he has for his sister, and the hard edge on his face means that anger is brewing in him, anger that he hasn't felt in years.

Not to Lucy, no — that much is obvious.

Once everything is sorted out, Edmund lets out a loud sigh, mostly tired. ]

Be vigilant, [ he says, his voice wry. ] My sister is rather clever, and much more stubborn than I am.

[ And Claire knows all about Edmund's stubbornness. ]

[She's seen a brother's love for his sister in Jamie and Jenny, and she sees it here now. She also knows how a man can fret himself sick if given the opportunity, so once beds are obtained and some level of comfort secured for the moment, she takes the time to check on Edmund. She puts a reassuring hand on his arm.]

Don't worry. I've plenty of experience with stubborn. [Stubborn is what she married. Still, she doesn't want him to worry.] I'll take good care of Lucy and I'll let you know if anything changes. [For better or for worse.]
