EVENT PT. 1 —
[ 1. Sanctuary: Edmund will be around the Sanctuary primarily because of his sister — he's going to try to keep her in bed rest for the most part, with unsurprisingly disastrous results because his sister is as stubborn as he is — so feel free to bump into him before, during, or after Lucy's arrival and subsequent escape(s) from the Sanctuary. Depending on the circumstances, he's either going to be worried, tired, or annoyed. We'll RNG it.

2. Fight & Capture: Edmund is also going to be around arresting associate NPCs once more information about them has been sent out. (2) are easily captured, with only basic knowledge of weapons training and can be arrested and subdued easily; (2) are well-trained, armed and dangerous, but with the help of another skilled refugee, can be easily taken down; (2) have greater strength and magic at their arsenal, so Edmund will need all the help he can get in order to defeat them — and you might not be successful.

Also, Edmund is looking to capture them only. If your character is more inclined to killing the associates, prepare for some negative CR coming your way.

3. Royal Guard: His main area of patrol is the Nobles District, specifically around the Institute, so he'll be patrolling that place diligently as per his job. Feel free to bump into him there!

4. Outside Olympia: He may be asked to hunt down certain flora/fauna for ingredients needed by the members of the Institute looking to find a cure, so feel free to bump into him outside as well!

[ Teaming up with Peggy — as most of everyone in the Royal Guard is dedicated to finding the perpetrators that started the attack, if they haven't been tasked to vigilantly guard and a patrol certain areas of the city — has been a easy choice. They've worked together once, and the result had been successful enough to know that they work together well. And that was after a split-second decision of helping Peggy after he'd gotten in the way — this time, they are deliberately partnered up, and Edmund is pleased about that, a little.

At the very least, he knows that things will get done.

They're walked together down the entertainment district, near the theaters. It'd a little more subdued, in the aftermath of the attack, but there'd been rumors of a couple of individuals associated with the culprit hiding in this area, through the back alleys and side doors; he and Peggy have decided to investigate. ]

That bomb — when it happened, I was reminded of, well... [ He smiles, lopsided. It's not a happy smile. ] The war, I suppose.

[ She isn't in her Royal Guard blacks, to better blend in. Her pistol is in her handbag and she looks, for all the world, like a woman out on a stroll with her friend. And that may very well be true, but there's work to be done here, and she's glad to have Edmund's help and company. Because he's right, of course. The bomb had borne reminders of the war and while she hadn't been in the city when it happened — her patrol route takes her to the outskirts — she'd run towards the commotion instead of away from it. She'd done that back then, too. An old instinct, not long dormant. To help, to be in the centre of it all, to find the cause. To stop it.

She didn't think the spy they captured a few weeks ago was the end of it. But she'd thought whatever information had been provided in that interrogation could prevent further disaster from striking Olympia itself. The woman they'd caught was responsible for a bombing and Peggy is certain it's all related. And she wonders if she'd acted quicker, would it have made a difference? She can't tear herself up thinking of that, but it digs at her all the same. ]

Me too, [ she murmurs, expression shuttered and gaze sharp. ] I suppose we should be grateful London was never hit with anything like that. The poison gas in the Great War alone...

[ She breaks off, jaw tight. She knew about the Manhattan Project, of course. She knows what was done to Japan. This is not on the same scale, nuclear is not chemical like this was. But war is war and war is hell and this is how it always starts. ]
