[ A situation going from bad to worse should be relatively familiar to Leanne, but that doesn't save her from the overwhelming amount of surprise that hits her when news of the explosion finally surfaces. She of course experiences concern for who may be close to the blast, and then is immediately taken aback when the announcement that included her name also rings through.
Undoubtedly there's an explanation that needs to be made. But given her wavering trust there's no way for her to turn herself in, especially when she's being accused for a crime she didn't commit.
Though her luck continues to be a distant thing as the podcast is made when she's trying to make herself back to her apartment. Taking the back streets in hopes of avoiding those who are fully prepared to round up those accused without hesitation, she knows a little silver is enough to motivate anybody. So when she's peering around the next corner and makes blatant eye contact with another person she immediately shrinks back. Way to go, girl, hopefully they didn't notice? But if they did... maybe if she acts normal then they could go on their way without there being an unnecessary bump in the road.
Or not. She's a little glad she left the house with better shoes to run in today. ]
b.)
[ So are you trying to help her get from point A to point B without getting noticed? Great, you're a pal, and Leanne's got the greatest idea known to man: by acting like your terribly non-suspicious girlfriend! With an oversize jacket on her shoulders with the hood pulled up on top of her head she's pretty much the definition of ominous. And while she wouldn't say that she is some sort of award winning actress she does at least try to make the plan of her pretending to be your sick significant other work somehow.
Leanne keeps a hand firmly around the other person's arm. Holding onto them tightly as a heavy weight of anxiety rests on her shoulders. ]
I'm kinda surprised that this is working. [ Oh! Someone's looking, she pretends to cough. ] But I'm glad... sorry for dragging you into this.

[It's a pun, too? Call Gaius out on his shit 2k17.]
I'm just saying the mood in te air will shift for the better when the sickness is gone. But what sort of wind will follow that isn't something I can predict so easily.

[ She does come from a world where everyone's life is determined by a quartz so who is she to judge honestly?? ]
Plus that actually sounds like something to look forward to. Hopefully when the sickness is gone there will be a nice, calm breeze... or something like that?

[He lives a hard life? Look, he just wants to thank the Goddess and also the wind and play with his bird.]
A calm breeze would be nice, like a sigh of relief. But sometimes a busy, healthy wind is good, too. It means everyone is moving and getting back to normal.

I really don't get you sometimes, but you're not a bad guy, Gaius. [ And despite their differences in height she comes closer to place a hand to his head, patting his hair gently. ] Maybe I'll get this wind thing down with time, until then let's see to it that we take care of ourselves and everyone else. We don't want the same mistakes happening twice!
[ At least she doesn't. ]

I feel like I should hear that a lot more than I actually do. [He doesn't shy or flinch away from headpatting, either. So maybe this is what it feels like to be one of those people Rean is always giving pats to? Leanne is a warm person, isn't she.] I'd like to limit myself to one plague per lifetime. [And don't even get him started on the terrorists.] We're all going to have to be more careful. Olympia has treated us well, but both countries are showing their colors to us now.

Sure. Olympia has treated us well, but... [ She still can't get the face and the words of that man from before. Long ago during her first adventure into the virtual reality world that they provided on the Thesa Station. Revealing just some of the history that lead her to be as waveringly indifferent about the people providing so much to them.
Of course she feels that she's in no position to question them as much as she can't help it. Not when her head focuses on the expression that Wyvern warrior had. ] Anyway, I think that was a long enough pit stop. Let's get looking for that flower again!
[ And she starts ahead, careful of the greenery. ]
You'd think it'd be easy to find but I guess this is a whole lot different than your typical weed, huh?

Twisted features or no, Gaius is curious to see what was meant to follow. He's not going to push for it right now, but he wants to hear more. There's still a lot he doesn't know about the recent events; his duties ended up being more geared to helping citizens and helping the evacuations.
But it seems she's done, an he's just as willing to let it drop. Leanne's comfort is more important than his curiosity.]
It seems so. But on the bright side, if it were easy to find we wouldn't be able to spend this time with each other. [And again, he's not hitting on her. Or anyone. Gaius sounds legitimately happy to be with someone he considers a friend.] Most of the flowers I'm familiar with grow in higher elevations. Exploring jungle like this is a first for me, actually.

That sounds so... romantic. You're gonna end up breaking someone's heart one day. [ Of course she's only teasing, honestly his shameless yet innocent honesty is refreshing. ] Back home most of our flowers were artificial, finding the real thing was difficult and it was only after I got so excited that my friend decided to fill me in that they were just weeds.
[ Way to go, Vashyron. ]
So I guess you could say that it's a first for both of us.

[Wow, it's time to chuckle even more awkwardly than before. That's definitely something he's never heard before.]
I can't picture something like that ever happening myself. [He's got no shortage of self-esteem, but 'love' and 'heartbreak' are images he's never tried to apply to himself before. But. More importantly, that paints a surprising picture. Artificial flowers?] If I'd never seen real flowers before, I think I'd be excited to find a weed, too. Is it just flowers that are artificial where you're from?
[Still walking, still looking...but what about the trees and stuff.]
