[ Jughead debates it, and debates it, and then realizes that there's not much better to do. when he wanders, he wanders toward the dojo, slipping in behind someone else and trying to stay out of sight. there's truth in what he said: he's a lover, not a fighter. while he's spontaneously given a few choice punches (and he knows how to punch, he was brought up on the wrong side of the tracks) too deserving football players, he usually elects to deflect with his brand of witty, sardonic humor or walk away.

he finds a spot against the wall to watch the exchanges out on the floor. after the descent and meeting his fellow refugees, he's quickly coming to realize his own mortality. Riverdale was shrouded in a storm, the least he could do was give training a chance.

... soon, maybe.

for now, he watches. Jughead's both good at blending in, and looking absolutely unapproachable. people that get to close get ignored, and everyone who makes eye contact gets a steady, uncaring stare. ]

[ Their eyes meet briefly when he enters, because Bruce looks at everyone. His attention is kept on the floor by the others coming and going, but now and then he takes a glance around the crowd, and sees this one particular observer. Hasn't spoken to anyone, doesn't seem to want to, much. Not hard to connect the dots. ]

[ He takes a break, as well as the empty seat with a little space between them. ]

Official training will be done in an hour.

[ Jughead usually likes to go where the people aren't; diners at 2 a.m. in accordance to his odd sleeping schedule, or finding a spare room in one of the quieter parts of school campus to write for the Blue and Gold. since he's been here this is the first time someone has made a move to sit even somewhat close to him. ]

So, the idea is to punch everyone until they forget about where they are, right?
