A: The Day Of

Link's on the scene of the blast almost immediately after it blows, arriving soon after the gas cloud dissipates. He'll be on the job quickly from then on, finding anybody injured in the initial panicked rush after the explosions and helping them along to safety and trying to break up any trouble that might arise. Even afterwards he'll be nearby, keeping an eye out for anybody who starts to show signs of sickness.

For anybody who wanted some backdated threads immediately after the attack.

B: On The Hunt

In the days that follow the attack and the announcements claiming credit for the attack on Olympia and the reveal that their were agents inside the city. And some of them were fellow refugees. He's seen chatter over the network about them, some people insisting that the people they knew couldn't have done something like that and maybe they're right, but the only way to know for sure is to find them.

That's how he's been spending his nights recently. On the hunt. Armed with a sword on his back and an oddly mechanical bow with it with a full quiver to go with it. He's on the lookout for suspicious activity but if that fails, maybe making himself a target will draw somebody out.

Of course it's not all tracking down bad guys and recovering from a terrorist attack. Any other time you want to run into Link, hit me up. Now that he has a bow, he'll probably spend some time out hunting and venturing into town to sell the meat to make some cash. Or surprise him at home, I dunno.

[The attack, and the announcement thereafter of who was said to be involved, has shown the nasty side to some people in town. Olympia should be for real Olympians, so the people Kanade overheard claimed, tossing around the idea of attacking "foreigners" in retaliation. Never mind that, from her perspective, there is no immediate way to tell what exactly makes a native Olympian -- not like they have it written on their foreheads -- she had seen enough of such people in times before the "storm" hit, and how they believe themselves to be right.

The sudden epidermic already caused so much trouble. Angry mobs can only make the situation worse. For now, at least, she hasn't come across fights out in the open, but with tensions rising, she knows it is a matter of time.

Such as when a blatantly armed guy is wandering about, which might provoke those intending to take an eye for an eye.]

You've circled this area for a while now. [She approaches Link, tone casual in a manner belying her suspicion.] Waiting for somebody?

[It wouldn't be entirely honest to say he isn't out there looking for trouble, that is more or less the reason for him being there. He at least knows enough to worry about drawing too much ire with his presence, so he's trying to at least keep his head down. Despite being armed.

His instincts are telling him something about this area though. Call it a hunch but he's got the feeling if he sticks around here....]

Hm? [Turning his head, he spots the young woman approaching him. Eyeing her for a second, he shrugs and glances upward toward the street again.] Just looking around.

[He's not on the guard himself but... well, he's seen the kind of people they hire so....]

[Looking around, at this hour?]

What for? [His response was so ambiguous, it might mean anything. Scouting the site for a subsequent weapon going off? Keeping an eye out for the unsavoury sort up to no good? What are his intentions?]

You know, if you were going shopping, the stores are [-- gesturing in the opposite direction] over there.

[Of course, all the doubts Kanade has regarding him can be applicable to herself, she is aware as much. Unlike him, though, she does not appear at first glance to carry any weapons, which made coming off as harmless an easy task.]

I know where they are.

[That might be a little on the defensive side. He isn't doing much to avoid looking suspicious, he has to admit, but he's also not sure of the person he's talking to, but she is coming up to him unarmed by the looks of things, but that doesn't necessarily mean much. Who knows what kind of abilities she might have?

But he'd also come out here looking for anybody who might be up to no good. Either she's one of the people he's after, or she's just any other citizen. Or more than that. Whatever it is, there's no need to be too cagey about it.]

There's still fugitives on the run. Figured I'd keep an eye open.
