Knocked Around the World and Back
Who: Phoenix Wright (
objectionattorney) & Anyone Interested!
What: Phoenix Is an Unfortunate Soul Who Gets Sick Easily And Caught The VIOLET2710 Virus From His Junior Attorney
When: Between 10/7 & 10/18
Where: At His House In Housing Apartment 69 & Around The Initial Blast Zone At the Market District
Warning(s): Mostly gross sick things. Nothing Too Noteworthy Otherwise
(10/7 - 10/10)
[Phoenix wasn’t feeling at the top of his game when he woke up. A fuzzy head, a stuffy nose, nothing that would have otherwise seemed too out of the ordinary. He knew he should have been more concerned, what with the state Athena was in. But he couldn’t simply put aside the those in need for what felt like a smaller strain of what could have just been a common cold.
How wrong he was.
It was by the time he had reached the Market Square that it really began to hit him. His body hot and his mouth dry as he looked around the area where ongoing repairs were being done. He had to find more clues to what was going on with everyone. Surely the culprits left behind some sort of circumstantial evidence that was being overlooked. Surely.... Surely...
What was he thinking again? He suddenly felt so dizzy. Perhaps he needed to go get something to drink. There was a concession stand next to the aid center that was handing out drinks to all those who were helping out. Maybe he could just make his way over there and grab himself something to--
The next thing he knew the world was spinning around him. His foot missing a step as the next thing he saw was the sky above him. Why did his back suddenly hurt? Was he on the floor? What just happened?]
(10/11 - 10/18)
[Phoenix was bed ridden. In an almost embarrassing state of affairs the man who had been caring for the sick was now sick himself. Not that he couldn’t see this coming from a mile away. But at the moment he was too far gone to really judge himself too harshly. Time was moving by in flashes. People came and go and yet he couldn’t quite make out their faces. Where was he? What was going on?
Was that Trucy’s voice calling from the other side of the door? Ah. Right. Trucy. She had her first magic show coming up soon. But-- Wasn’t he supposed to head off to classes himself? There was a huge assignment due that he couldn’t pass up. How else was he supposed to pass art school if he couldn’t complete one assignment? Why were the lights so bright? Maybe he should turn them off?
He found himself slowly shifting out of bed, doing everything in his power to fight his fever as he slunk his way out of his shared bedroom and into the living quarters.]
Hey! Where did everybody go?
[Cough.]

He found himself slowly shifting out of bed, doing everything in his power to fight his fever as he slunk his way out of his shared bedroom and into the living quarters.]
Hey! Where did everybody go?
[Cough.]
no subject
[He steps in with his care package, telling himself that he's going to be taking a very long, hot bath when he gets home. It worries him that almost everyone in Nick's home got sick. He should have brought more than just juice.]
N-no, I'll be all right. And this juice is for you. It's made from a local fruit that's said to be loaded with vitamins. I bought a few bottles and have been delivering them to people.
no subject
[A shame his appetite had not been in the best of conditions at the moment. As kind as the gesture was he wasn’t sure he’d be able to gulp it down.]
But really? Quite a few people you know too huh?
[Man, this epidemic was bigger than he thought. If only he weren’t so sick himself maybe there’d be some way he coudl hel—
Oh. Oh wow. That was certainly a dizzy spell that just hit him. Don’t mind him as he falters a little, quickly trying to compose himself as if nothing was wrong.]
no subject
[The sentence is cut off quickly when the former assassin sees the faltering. Without hesitation or care about his own health, Venom reaches out to help Nick with his balance. The other's skin feels hot yet cool at the same time. It concerns Venom greatly as he keeps hold of his new friend.]
Perhaps we should get you back to bed. You need your rest.
no subject
[Despite his words he certainly didn’t look fine though. His expression vague and his breathing heavy as he leaned his weight against Venom.]
I just— Perhaps if I just sit. I should be fine.
[He shouldn’t leave a guest caring after him after all. Not after all Venom had already done in coming over to and help.]
Here. There’s a couch just a little further in, we can sit there. Maybe catch up a little.
no subject
Would you like me to get you anything first? I still have the juice and I can fetch you more blankets or tissue.
[It honestly breaks his heart to see a friend like this...]
no subject
[Slowly making his way to the couch Phoenix made himself comfortable. Truthfully, his appetite had been barely functional these days and even water he could barely hold down. So as nice as the gesture of fresh juice was it simply didn’t sound appetizing.
Perhaps for later than. Yes, he’ll deffinitely drink it later.]
I’m sure I have some in my room. And the juice can go in the kitchen. Trucy will put it away.
no subject
[The blankets aren't too hard to find as Venom deliberately chooses the warmest and therefore the most functional. He returns with them and wraps his friend carefully in the layered blankets.]
Trucy? I thought you were home alone.
[Unless Nick has someone else over, but Venom hasn't seen or heard anyone.]
no subject
[Thank you Venom, he very much appreciates the blankets. In fact the bundling at least seems to sate his chills. His wide blue eyes peeking out from the cloth that now mostly covered him as if he were a mummy.
Yes. This was perfect. Nice and warm.]
She’ll take the juice and I’ll have some later. Maybe with some hamburgers when Maya stops by, when I’m feeling a bit more piqued.
[Your intuition is more on the money than you believe Venom. If it weren’t obvious by how quiet the house currently was save for their conversation.]
no subject
Then he starts talking about someone named Maya and hamburgers. He sighs and goes back to check on his friend.]
There's no one here but us, Phoenix. Unless you're expecting company later.
[He seriously doubts it, though. He kneels down to make sure those blankets are nice and warm for him.]
no subject
[And with that does the sick man try to stand up again, his balance obviously out of sync as he stumbles a little bit before finally managing to get up on his own.
Your concern is appreciated Venom but he really must check up on his daughter.]
Tuce-- [He coughs, trying to regain his composure before speaking again.] Trucy? You there?
no subject
Please, you need to rest. And we're the only ones home.
[This is really worrying. Hopefully he can convince him to lie back down...]
no subject
[The look he gives Venom is almost pathetic, and yet his body is so frail at the moment that he is unable to really fight back as Venom pushes him back to the couch. His body falling back to the soft cushions easily despite his disgruntled behavior.]
She’s not the type to leave without telling me. I’m pretty sure she doesn’t have a show today. Perhaps another room?
[He really has become quite insistent that his ‘daughter’ is in the house somewhere.]
no subject
[He'll humor the man but Venom's positive they're all alone here. He bundles Phoenix up again and starts to look around the house. Most of the bedroom doors are open, so he only takes a quick peek inside. He calls out the girl's name, but as he figures, no response.
When he returns, he tries not to sigh hard.]
I did check the other rooms, and we're definitely alone here.
no subject
[Why did that confirmation make him feel so sad? Surely Trucy simply must’ve stepped out for a moment. Perhaps she was getting groceries or had a show she had to go preform.
And yet he couldn’t help but feel the tears well up in his eyes.]
I... I see... she must have gone out. How did I miss her? She should have said goodbye.
[Trucy how could you leave without saying goodbye? Don’t worry your father like that.
He sniffled. Although if it was because of the sickness or his own emotions even he wasn’t sure.]
no subject
I'm sorry. Perhaps we just missed her, or she was in a rush.
[He was a terrible liar, but he hoped that Nick would believe him in his state.]
I'm sure she's all right.
no subject
[Rubbing his sleeve against his face, he sniffled back what few tears were forming. Instead taking a deep breath before lowering his arm and-- Oh. Oh right. He did have that.]
Mr. Venom, do you mind if I ask a favor of you?
no subject
[Mr. Venom just sounds off to him. He comes a bit closer, but still keeps his distance due to the illness.]
What can I do for you?
no subject
Um, I could offer you a picture if you wish!
[The worry is quite apparent on his face as well, his pale expression only looking all the more worn with the stress he was feeling.
None the less he reaches along the neck of his shirt, pulling out a small golden heart-shaped pendant.]
no subject
[Venom's not sure what to say, but before he can say anything, Phoenix is pulling out the pendant.]
Very well. I'll take a good look at the picture.
[It makes sense that he keeps it around his neck, being his daughter and all. It's rather poignant, that familial love.]
no subject
[Sniffling back a bit, Phoenix pops open his locket, showing the image of a young woman in her late teens sporting a top hat and blue cape]
I know it’s silly. But I suppose I’m just easily worried.
no subject
I'll let you know if I see her, and I'll tell her to come home.
no subject
[How many times had he thanked the man now, he can't recall. But Venom had been so good to him ever since he had arrived in Olympia. If only there was something he could do...]
When I'm better, if you don't mind, I would like to make up for all this.
[Ah! Tissue... don't mind him as he quickly goes to blow his nose.]
