_{[He sits in the small wooden chair beside her bed, that he's become awfully familiar with. Yes, he'd slept, but that was about it.]}

[She pouts, her cheeks puffing out slightly as she studies him. How can she ensure that he doesn't dodge her questions...? She glances down at the plate on her lap.]

If you answer honestly, I'll take a bite.

...Not very well, but that isn't out of the norm for me.

[A promise is a promise, so she scoops up some eggs and takes a bite. ...it doesn't taste quite right. Not because he's a bad cook, but because nothing she eats lately tastes quite right; being sick is wreaking havoc on her taste buds.

Yona manages to keep from making a face, though. That wouldn't be fair to him.]

I'm afraid not. I haven't slept well in years.

[Slaine sure does know her well - she asks exactly the question he's expecting her to, although it's soft and a little hesitant. He didn't volunteer the information right away, so it might take some digging to get him to actually answer.]

I've always slept better with someone else by my side. It's relaxing.

It's important to relax at a time like this. If you don't, it'll be even easier to get sick...

[Thank goodness he's managed not to get sick. Between the stress and the close proximity to illness, almost anyone would have. Either Slaine has an immune system of steel or he's incredibly lucky.]

...I'll have some. [Since he's gone to the trouble of making her food, anyway. She takes another small bite, then looks up at him.] Thank you.
