[ there's a lot of strangers Angel could have picked to live with. most would probably be harmless and even nice friends. deciding to want to room with the Big Bad Wolf? that's... well. that is bound to have some kind of consequence, whether that's in the near or distant future. regardless, Bigby has somehow agreed to this deal and has to now live with his decision. that and living with a young woman for the first time possibly ever.

he hears the first set of knocks, of course. it's purposely delayed as he considers the possibility of Angel giving up and leaving. upon realizing how dumb of an idea that is, he's stepping forward and towards the door of his residence with a drag in his feet. it's opened up slowly, and standing before her is the man she had last seen up on the space station.

there's no way he will be able to force a smile right now, but he does at least try his best not to actively scowl or intimidate. ]

Uh, hey. You're... definitely doing this, huh. Becoming my roommate, I mean.

[ Angel arrives with not much more than the clothes on her back, the rest of her belongings, an amount you could count on one hand, all bundled together and balanced in her arms.
This may have been a rash decision on her part, but it will be for the best for both herself and the friends she wishes to protect.

When he answers without much fanfare Angel isn't perturbed, greeting him with a sympathetic smile to their awkward situation. Scowling or not, it would take a great deal to intimidate her, given who her father is. ]

If it makes you feel better, I'm unused to it too. Living with company, that is. May I come in?

[puffing]

[ and who's thinking for the best of Bigby in all of this? certainly not Bigby. never Bigby. it's probably why he gets into situations like the one he is in now, along with every other shitstorm he brought upon himself back in Fabletown. the cost of not having any friends, man. ]

Doesn't make me feel better. Just means we're both going to suck at this.

[ he's trying his best here, okay. Angel seems like a sweet enough gal, reminding him a bit of Nerissa. well, minus the stripping. Bigby takes a moment to acknowledge her question, but when he does, he gives a short nod before stepping to the side to allow her in. ]

Couldn't let you just... not have a place to sleep when you're done here, though. Can't believe you've waited until this long.

[ At his permission she nods, stepping inside. ]

[ Once she's past the threshold she stops to take in the place. It's not much different than where she was initially assigned on arrival, though she barely spent any time in that place. The biggest difference as far as she can tell is the layout is backwards. ]

I really appreciate this. I suppose time got away from me, with the amount I stayed on the station. I still have duties there, though. So I will not be, um...cramping your style, so to speak.

[ One of the corners seems to be relatively unoccupied and she motions to it. ]

May I put my belongings here?

"Cramping my style". Good job sounding like you're older than me.

[ hardy har. that's his way of trying to remain casual. he doesn't really know how to describe his style, so he imagines she is probably right in saying that adding any single person may throw a wrench into the system. oh well. it's not like he intended on ever arriving on Thesa. ]

Yeah, sure. I don't have a lot of stuff yet either, so I suppose we can add ours together and it'll look like it's actually lived in.

[ HARDY HAR. he's on a roll. ]

[ Angel visibly relaxes a bit at his humor. Seriously Bigby if you're trying to scare her off, your tactics need some reworking. She heads over to the area she had motioned to, gently putting down her items and leaning down to open her satchel and retrieve some of its contents. ]

I haven't spent much time with people in my own age bracket.

[ From her bag she begins to pull out a variety of items. First it's a set of clothes, then a toothbrush, and finally an array of foods only found in the stations cafeteria...though much of it is junk food like pretzels, funny shaped potato chips and ice cream sandwiches.

She frowns down at the individually wrapped frozen treats ]

The people down here have yet to invent something like the modern refrigerator or freezer, I am guessing.
