I can't wait to get on the road again
Who: Genjo Sanzo (
smithandwesson), Soldier 76 (
personalwar), Yusei Fudo (
planetary_bonds), Giovanni Rammsteiner (
ofobedience), & Open!
What: A pair of wanted fugitives escape Olympia captivity and attempt to integrate and blend in with Wyver society.
When: October 19th onward
Where: The Undergrowth & Wyver: The Old City
Warning(s): Nothing to note!
[Sanzo had never been one to handle forced captivity well. It wasn’t his first time of course, but the moments in which he had been stuck under Olympian Watch was perhaps the longest he had lasted before making his move (a whole ten days, wow). So it was without hesitation that he started thinking of ways to get out the moment the cities evacuation to Wyver was mentioned throughout the prison.
Escape was simple enough. He had met up with someone who had been in the exact same fucking situation he had been in, and finding an opening when the guards weren’t fixated on watching them was surprisingly simple. Getting into other caravans and finding their weapons was a bit more tedious of an endeavor but they had eventually managed to find what they needed and soon enough were able to get out and lose themselves once more amongst a countries worth of people as they were forcefully placed into a new land.
He was wearing his cloak again. Once again shrouding his appearance as much as he could as he wandered about. Between gathering food and supplies within the Undergrowth like many of the other Olympian refugees, to lurking around the less crowded markets of the Old City, Sanzo was working his hardest to gather his bearings and once again survive. He had no home now, and what little money he had gotten he had stolen from the guards before his escape. It was almost nostalgic, as if he were once again the brat he was so many years ago, with no where to go and no lead to follow. He was once again wandering aimlessly like a street vagabond, a shadow of the high priest people once thought him to be before he ended up here.]
(OOC: Sanzo is once again on the run and this time trying to escape from Olympia’s manhunt for him for good. He can be found inconspicuously running from place to place but if looked at close enough one can make the distinction between him and the wanted posters that were once all around Olympia. He also currently has a temporary camp set up with Soldier 76 while they attempt to settle into Wyver. Otherwise he can be seen hunting for food, purchasing cheep goods from some of the shadier shops and panhandling for money along the streets.)

Things are going about as well as expected, I suppose. Even if they've agreed to a truce, under circumstances like these...it must be through gritted teeth.
no subject
I’d imagine. Even just looking at this city you can understand why they don’t really trust those from Olympia though.
[What hell did this country go through? Obviously he needed to do more research.]
Good to see you’re doing well despite it though. How’s Goku fairing?
[He hadn’t seen the damn monkey since he got arrested. Actually he was surprised he ended up running into Yusei first.]
no subject
It's definitely different. [Pause.] Feels more like home.
[And...ooh, yes, that definitely gets Yusei to finally change expression, his brow furrowing.]
I haven't...seen him. Not since the evacuation, at least...
no subject
[Weird. Where was the dumb primate? Sanzo certainly hadn't run into him. And he never thought to check up since, surely, he's just messing around and keeping on the down-low staying with Yusei but--]
Hmph. Guess I have to go out of my way to text the brat later. He probably wandered off trying to do something stupid.
[God help him if Goku had made an attempt to break Sanzo out of prison when Sanzo already managed to get out himself.]
So you're more used to here than Olympia huh?
[Best not to think about it until he manages to get into contact with Goku.]
no subject
[The way Yusei puts a hand on his hip and raises an eyebrow, it looks like he's trying to convince himself that this isn't anything serious. Maybe it'd be better to keep the conversation to familiar topics.]
Mmn. Satellite wasn't exactly a jungle, but it was wild. A city like Olympia feels a little too much like Neo Domino to me.
[Maybe that place could have been his home...in time. But it would always linger on in his memory as the place that had abandoned Satellite in its time of need for their own benefit.]
no subject
[How interesting. So Yusei wasn't adjusting to Olympia as well as Sanzo thought he was. And meanwhile, although like Yusei both cities felt like different parts of his own world, he was currently restricted from staying in Olympia any time soon.
But that begged the question...]
Shame you gotta go back huh?
no subject
I guess so. [He rolls his shoulders.] I want to make sure to give any help that's needed when we go back, you know these kind of circumstances would leave all sorts of problems...
[Typical.]
And, you know, there's also something there that I need someone to collect... [Oh?]
no subject
[Straight and to the point as always, Sanzo didn’t hesitate to ask. His head lifting as his sharp gaze met directly with Yuseis.]
Don’t tell me it’s something your unable to get yourself. Thought you were tougher than that kid.
no subject
No, it's nothing like that. It's simply something only they can get.
[and now he's just being sassy.]
no subject
[Don’t think he’s not onto your vague bullshit you asshole. Stop playing coy with him and just say it.]
Well then, I suppose you better go find them and tell them to get whatever you need before you end up leaving this shithole.
[Fuck. How did he end up playing along?
Time to make a grab for the cigarettes.]
no subject
No need. I've found them already.
no subject
Well then you better fucking tell them before they get sick of your bullshit and decide to kill you off just for being so damn annoying.
[And check.]
no subject
Mnn, they wouldn't do that. Still, I'll let them know.
[He rolls his shoulders, just barely hiding the silent laugh that was making them shake just a few moments before.]
Just don't forget that you have your own wager to cash in on, mm?
no subject
Brat you are seriously fucking out of your mind, you know that?
[What crazy asshole is happy to outright admit to his loss in a bet, none the less remind the guy he made the bet with?]
You know, we never said where this bet of ours had to be completed. As long as it was in some sort of town square.
no subject
Is that so? What, did you have a plan?
no subject
[Is that a smirk on his face? Nahhhh. You're seeing things.]
And chances are you'll make less of a fucking embarrassment of yourself if you do it in a place where less people know ya.
no subject
[So deadpan, Yusei. Why do you tell your jokes in this way.]
no subject
[Seriously. That would be no fun. Besides, how would you pay for his dinner?]
Looks like if we’re going to do this kid we’re either going to have it done somewhere in Wyver or in neutral territory.
no subject
Fair enough. It'll be less tasteless if it's done after this whole incident is resolved, though. Won't come off as kicking people when they're down, you know?
[...To be fair, flaunting the idea that this tragedy was bound to happen is...a really bad idea when everyone is struggling, yeah.]
no subject
[He'll accept your plea to stall for the time being Yusei. If simply because it would be fairly poor taste to those who experienced it. Especially since part of the whole incident was indirectly his own fault.
That probably wouldn't make him look much better in the eyes of others. Not that he really cared about that sort of stuff.]
Besides, it gives me time to think of what sort of grand speech you're going to make.
You want to pick a date or shall I?
no subject
Wouldn't want to rush you. I'm sure you'll pick a suitable time for...ah...maximum humiliation.
[he might be invoking his inner masochist here. might.]
no subject
There are no hidden intentions in any of this.
No way.
Not at all.]
Hmph.
[Now lets see... As for time... ]
Let’s say we start this new year off right? On the first day of the new year all of Wyver will get to behold you freezing your ass off while I enjoy a nice warm bowl of udon noodles, or whatever this worlds equivalent to that is.
no subject
...Ah.
[His face has gone quite blank. To most people, that would mean he's taking the news with a straight face. To people who actually know him, that means he's very much taken aback by the proposal.
After a few moments, his expression relaxes, and he laughs gently.]
I should have expected something like that. Very well.
[He grins slightly.] We'll bring in the new year correctly, then.
no subject
[And what a playful smirk Sanzo gives with that statement. A gleam of challenge sparkling out the corner of his eye.]
Better keep to your word. I don't care if I'm a wanted man out there. I will break into Olympia and drag you out here by the ears if you don't show up.
[Definitely not escaping him that easily.]
