Lucky for them all, it's Yamagi's job to keep reality and responsibility in check. Shino's yet to live a life where he even had the chance to use his pay to live on his own. He hasn't even a clue about doing anything with it but hoard it or use it for fun things. At least, now, there are opportunities to learn that and so many other things.

For now, he's just thinking about what a real 'date' entails as he helspt finish sorting the bed out. He only hops back into the moment when Yamagi gives him a sudden command.
