He half expects the question, but he still feels his stomach cramp when he asks it. He lets out a short laugh and feels his grin slide into an easy smile as he answers, fingers curling against his shirt. It was a lot easier to talk about this with Eugene than it was to talk about with the culprit directly. Yamagi, after all, was so scary he made the enemy look like nothing. He represented so many unknowns that Shino felt true terror sometimes if he thought too much about him. It wasn't dislike or disgust. Much more, it was a pure form of utter fear that came with the thought that he might have a fragile chance at personal happiness.
