Warning(s): Nothing at the moment, but I'll add them as things come up. Mephisto and Jae-Ha are in the middle of some 18+ shenanigans in one thread but that's probably getting cut short.

one - searching for supplies;
[Haru's up in the Old City today, taking a look at the marketplace. She doesn't seem too perturbed by the state of the Old City itself; sure, it's... definitely got a sort of dangerous feel to it, but she's pretty capable of defending herself if need be.

The axe she's got strapped to her back is something she knows how to use, after all.

That being said, she's not really anticipating a fight - it's more of a precautionary measure. She's calm and polite with the merchants as she looks through their wares, though eventually, she has to stop and ask someone for directions-]

Um, excuse me. [You! Yes, you! Help a girl out.] You don't happen to know where there might be someone selling gardening tools, do you?

[Do they even garden here? Man, she doesn't know. There's plants every which way down in the jungle itself, but they don't really seem organized - it's a very wild feel.

Which has its own charm, of course, but...]

two - foraging for foliage;
[Midway through the month, Haru decides it's about time to get her butt in gear. She's more or less decided that she will be returning to Olympia eventually, but she doesn't want to forget the nice parts of Wyver, either...

So.

She's got a pack full of supplies and a simple sketchpad in hand. You might catch her throughout the city, taking sketches of the various plants that are growing there -

Or you might catch her looking at one or two of them, puzzled.]

Hmm... I wonder if there's some way of harvesting seeds from this?

[If she can, she'd like to grow some of these back in Olympia - though she's not sure they'll take to the climate there.

...eventually, of course, she'll wander to the Undergrowth. She has, at least, stopped to grab her axe, but now she's lingering at the entrance, checking over her supplies.]

Well, no time like the present...

[In she goes!]

three - many hands make light work;
[Haru's spent a decent amount of time in Wyver - but, toward the end of the month, she joins the volunteer efforts to help get Olympia back on its feet. It's only fair, after all - Olympia was kind enough to take them all in when they first arrived, and she can't in good conscience leave them to flounder now.

So. If you're on the road to Olympia at the same time as her, she raises a hand and calls out -]

Hello there!

[Safety in numbers, after all; maybe you can travel together!

On the other hand, if you encounter her once you're both back in Olympia, you can find her basically anywhere in the city - helping move supplies around, working on general cleanup, et cetera, et cetera. She's pretty strong for a girl her age.

Of course, everyone needs to take a break sometime, and she's no exception. Catch her while she's taking a breather and getting a bite to eat, and she might wave you over.]

one - bad decision time;
[So. Uh.

Here's Yona. Here's Yona at Falmi's Ring, watching some of the fights with interest while clutching a few coins in one hand. Gambling probably is not the best habit for a princess to get into, but she's heard that if you get good at it, it can be a way of making money quickly. And since she doesn't have a steady job yet - she's mainly been doing odd job around Wyver for some coin - this seems as good an option as any.

For now, she's observing the fights. Her eyes are fixed on a slender man currently in the ring, ducking and weaving to avoid his much brawnier opponents' moves. He's quick on his feet and his strategy seems to be wearing his opponent down.]

Hmm... He's doing pretty well...

[Maybe she'll bet on him in the next fight.]

two - practice makes perfect;
[Thunk.

What's that sound? Well, that's the sound of Yona hurling small throwing knives (which she, uh, "borrowed" from Jae-Ha, sorry Jae-Ha) at a tree trunk. But it's better than the alternative! The sound means she's hitting her target and not, you know, missing and nearly throwing a sharp object at your face.]

Hah! I'm getting better at this.

[She's run out... looking proud of herself, she hurries over to pull the knives from the tree and heads back to the line she's drawn in the dirt for herself. Time to get back to work... Oh, hey, there's a person.]

Oh, sorry! Was I bothering you?

Oh, oops!

[Looks like she missed. Maybe you're an unfortunate passerby that is now going to have to dodge the knife? Maybe you got hit. Who knows.]

[By now, Yona's a pretty common face at the stables, especially now that the week of the full moon has passed, the dragons are back where they're supposed to be, and they're not trying to... you know, eat them.

Today, she's hanging around and peering at them when she gets the chance.]

They're so beautiful...! I wish I could ride one.

[But, uh, she's broke. Alas.

Alternatively, if you catch her in the West, you may see her watching some of the dancers with interest.

...later in the night, you might catch her in a secluded part of town, trying to mimic the moves on her own. She's not quite ready to join in the dancing herself, but she would like to learn!

She's a little unsteady on her feet, though. It's a lot of twirling and jumping.

Heck, she might even stumble out and smack into you if you're not careful.]

[Yona glances over her shoulder, half-expecting Hak to have sneaked up on her - but no, of course he isn't there. A pause, and as she returns her attention to Eugene, she realizes two things:

1. This is the person she LARPed Hak for.
2. He's injured.

...and then, belatedly, a third:

3. He's hurt because of her.]

I'm— I'm so sorry!

[She hurries over to get a better look at the injury, but... with his hand over it like that, she can't see it clearly. She can only see the blood leaking out from between his fingers.]

I didn't realize you were there... [HOW DOES SHE FIX THIS SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO BANDAGE AN EAR.] Does it hurt...?

[presses]

Well it doesn't feel good! ( Eugene snaps, though he's had worse. much worse, but still. he cups his hand over his ear a bit tighter, afraid to assess the damage, but grateful that it's uh. still attached to his head. )

Gee, I'm glad you didn't realize! So you're just throwing knives around and not paying attention!?

( Eugene you weren't paying attention either. he mutters a curse under his breath, sucking in air sharply through his teeth, feeling where his ear's been. split. from the shell down to almost the middle. it really is a clean cut. of course...he should expect nothing less from the Thunder Beast and really shouldn't be making her angry, but he's in pain and pissy. these things happen. )

he needs it so he can listen to her shrieking

[Yona's cheeks puff out like a chipmunk's (which is an entirely unflattering look for her) and she shakes her head.]

I came out here to practice because I didn't think there would be anyone around!

[She should feel worse about this than she does but getting yelled at makes her feel somewhat less remorseful.]

Let's get inside. I'll... try to help fix it.

( blood has splattered on to the shoulder of his shirt, dotting it in an almost symmetrical pattern as the flow runs thicker. Eugene watches her face puff up, wondering if she's going to cry, and gets mad about it -- if anyone should cry it's him, dammit!

he curiously removes his hand from his ear, fingering the slice instead, pushing one piece of flesh away from the other as he recognizes the split. and probably doesn't make it any better. )

Oh man, oh man... what the hell did you do ... is it falling off ...

( lmao he didn't really hear her shepherding him inside just yet, sorry yona! )

[Where is Yoon, why hasn't she met Yoon yet, Yona desperately needs a mom friend.]

I-it's not falling off!

[God, why.

Since verbally herding him inside isn't working, she grabs for his shoulder instead to try and physically here him inside.]

Calm down, we're going to fix this...!

IT'S FALLING OFF!!! This is bad!

( Eugene is just fingering the slit in his ear now, more blood pouring out, absentmindedly led ahead and just walking along with her ushering. he looks over his shoulder at her, both outraged and helpless. )

I was going to confess to someone later today!

No, it isn- eh?

[PUSHES HIM ALONG THE PATH but that sure is a distraction. To her credit, she does keep them moving even as she allows the conversation to be completely waylaid.]

Really? That's exciting! To who?

[presses]

You — you don't know her! ( which he has no way of knowing, but it doesn't matter. the last thing he needs is some meddlesome terror with hulkish strength and deadly accuracy to ruin things with a crush. his expression sours to try and cover up how utterly embarrassed he is about blurting any of this out.

it shows just how desperate he was to talk about it. )

But I can't show up looking like this! She'll just pity me and take care of me and that's really not the atmosphere I want to go for!

[Speaking of not the atmosphere he was going for...

Yona's eyes are sparkling.]

Okay! Then, we'll get you cleaned up and put you in some clothes that don't have blood on them! I'm really good at dressing people up, so by the time we're done, you'll have exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when you go tell her how you feel.

[presses]

( he'll appreciate the sparkles very soon, and especially appreciate advice from a girl's side of this thing -- the downside to having zero girl friends other than like, the one he wants to date. or they're all in pods. )

Okay but my ear's falling off.

[With a huff, Yona finally pushes him into her house and then drags him back to her room. The sad part about this is it isn't even the first time she's dragged someone back here this week.]

Sit down and try not to bleed on my blankets. I'll get a towel.

What's with the attitude? I'm the only one that should be mad.

( Eugene tries to out-huff Yona, muttering to himself as he walks over to her room. this is great...not even a medical unit, but just her room. maybe she can do basic first aid? though...this might require a bit more than that. stitching isn't too hard, but on his own ear it should be difficult to do himself.

so he should probably be, ugh, nice to try and help this process along. he won't sit on her bed until she's gotten that towel, because he definitely doesn't want to ruin a girl's blankets. )

[Yeah, good luck out-huffing Yona...

Logically, she knows that he has every right to be annoyed (he is, after all, bleeding from his ear because she missed the tree she was aiming for), but she can't help but be bothered, anyway.

Regardless, she returns pretty quickly with a towel to spread on the bed and a smaller washcloth for him to hold up to his ear.]

Here. [Ugh, what else should she get...? She has a roll of bandages which she "borrowed" from the clinic when she was sick, but now she's sort of looking from them to his head dubiously. How is this going to work...] I've never had to fix someone's ear before, but...
