one - searching for supplies;
[Haru's up in the Old City today, taking a look at the marketplace. She doesn't seem too perturbed by the state of the Old City itself; sure, it's... definitely got a sort of dangerous feel to it, but she's pretty capable of defending herself if need be.

The axe she's got strapped to her back is something she knows how to use, after all.

That being said, she's not really anticipating a fight - it's more of a precautionary measure. She's calm and polite with the merchants as she looks through their wares, though eventually, she has to stop and ask someone for directions-]

Um, excuse me. [You! Yes, you! Help a girl out.] You don't happen to know where there might be someone selling gardening tools, do you?

[Do they even garden here? Man, she doesn't know. There's plants every which way down in the jungle itself, but they don't really seem organized - it's a very wild feel.

Which has its own charm, of course, but...]

two - foraging for foliage;
[Midway through the month, Haru decides it's about time to get her butt in gear. She's more or less decided that she will be returning to Olympia eventually, but she doesn't want to forget the nice parts of Wyver, either...

So.

She's got a pack full of supplies and a simple sketchpad in hand. You might catch her throughout the city, taking sketches of the various plants that are growing there -

Or you might catch her looking at one or two of them, puzzled.]

Hmm... I wonder if there's some way of harvesting seeds from this?

[If she can, she'd like to grow some of these back in Olympia - though she's not sure they'll take to the climate there.

...eventually, of course, she'll wander to the Undergrowth. She has, at least, stopped to grab her axe, but now she's lingering at the entrance, checking over her supplies.]

Well, no time like the present...

[In she goes!]

three - many hands make light work;
[Haru's spent a decent amount of time in Wyver - but, toward the end of the month, she joins the volunteer efforts to help get Olympia back on its feet. It's only fair, after all - Olympia was kind enough to take them all in when they first arrived, and she can't in good conscience leave them to flounder now.

So. If you're on the road to Olympia at the same time as her, she raises a hand and calls out -]

Hello there!

[Safety in numbers, after all; maybe you can travel together!

On the other hand, if you encounter her once you're both back in Olympia, you can find her basically anywhere in the city - helping move supplies around, working on general cleanup, et cetera, et cetera. She's pretty strong for a girl her age.

Of course, everyone needs to take a break sometime, and she's no exception. Catch her while she's taking a breather and getting a bite to eat, and she might wave you over.]

one - bad decision time;
[So. Uh.

Here's Yona. Here's Yona at Falmi's Ring, watching some of the fights with interest while clutching a few coins in one hand. Gambling probably is not the best habit for a princess to get into, but she's heard that if you get good at it, it can be a way of making money quickly. And since she doesn't have a steady job yet - she's mainly been doing odd job around Wyver for some coin - this seems as good an option as any.

For now, she's observing the fights. Her eyes are fixed on a slender man currently in the ring, ducking and weaving to avoid his much brawnier opponents' moves. He's quick on his feet and his strategy seems to be wearing his opponent down.]

Hmm... He's doing pretty well...

[Maybe she'll bet on him in the next fight.]

two - practice makes perfect;
[Thunk.

What's that sound? Well, that's the sound of Yona hurling small throwing knives (which she, uh, "borrowed" from Jae-Ha, sorry Jae-Ha) at a tree trunk. But it's better than the alternative! The sound means she's hitting her target and not, you know, missing and nearly throwing a sharp object at your face.]

Hah! I'm getting better at this.

[She's run out... looking proud of herself, she hurries over to pull the knives from the tree and heads back to the line she's drawn in the dirt for herself. Time to get back to work... Oh, hey, there's a person.]

Oh, sorry! Was I bothering you?

Oh, oops!

[Looks like she missed. Maybe you're an unfortunate passerby that is now going to have to dodge the knife? Maybe you got hit. Who knows.]

three - fangirl mode, activate;
[By now, Yona's a pretty common face at the stables, especially now that the week of the full moon has passed, the dragons are back where they're supposed to be, and they're not trying to... you know, eat them.

Today, she's hanging around and peering at them when she gets the chance.]

They're so beautiful...! I wish I could ride one.

[But, uh, she's broke. Alas.

Alternatively, if you catch her in the West, you may see her watching some of the dancers with interest.

...later in the night, you might catch her in a secluded part of town, trying to mimic the moves on her own. She's not quite ready to join in the dancing herself, but she would like to learn!

She's a little unsteady on her feet, though. It's a lot of twirling and jumping.

Heck, she might even stumble out and smack into you if you're not careful.]

[Two becomes three, three becomes four... Yona's starting to lose track of exactly how many times they've kissed. They're all sort of blurring together, not that she minds that at all.

Slaine leans forward, and she adjusts a bit to let him, wrapping her arms around his waist to hold him close. The motion ends with her on her back on the mattress, propped up slightly against her pillows, and him over her. She leans up slightly to meet him, her heart pounding and her cheeks flaming, and nips lightly at his lower lip.]

_{[The more she leans back the more he follows her forward, gravitating toward her thanks to the arms around his middle. There's something so utterly freeing about the embrace, about the way she kisses him, a little gasp finding its way out of his throat when he feels teeth against his lower lip.

He wants more of that, more teeth, more desire. She could consume him whole and he wouldn't mind.]}

Ah...

...Slaine.

[She breaks the kiss, but only long enough to gasp his name and gulp down a breath before she leans in to kiss him again. This time, she nips a little more firmly, and when his lips part, she deepens the kiss to get a taste of him.

The more they do this, the easier it is to get carried away. Sooner or later she'll get to work on his neck, but for now... for now, this is fine.]

_{[It is easy to get carried away. Too easy, which is why he's leaning even further forward in a bid to get her to take from him more and more. When he hears his name he's sighing into her mouth, bracing himself with his good arm so their chests are flush together. He won't be able to hold the position for long, but for now he's appreciating the closeness it brings.

The fabric of her robe is soft against his bare chest, hands warm against his back. As uncomfortable as he is being topless, at least her presence is soothing enough to even it out.]}

[It's okay if he can't hold the position for very long, because after a few moments longer, she shifts a little, pressing up against his good shoulder and turning so that they end up with him on his back and her over him.

Her lips curve up into a small smile, and as she leans down to kiss him again, her hair tumbles down - forming a curtain between their faces and the rest of the room.

All the better for privacy (?).]

_{[He's all too eager to roll onto his back and let her climb atop him. In fact, it's more than ideal, as he finds his breath stolen the moment he looks up at her, before she even has a chance to plant a smooch on him again. When she does though it comes as a relief, one he meets to return with enthusiasm.

This time he can't help but nip at her lip, giving it a gentle tug, a hand moving to have his fingers get lost in her hair. She may have hang ups about it, but to him it's beautiful.]}

[The nip at her bottom lip causes her to part her lips for him, all the better to deepen the kiss. She leans down more fully, bracing herself with both her arms on either side of his head, pressing her body to his.

It's just... more comfortable like this. Yes.

And she has to admit, being this close feels absolutely wonderful.]

_{[This? This is nice. The weight against him especially so. It makes him feel grounded, the anxiety that had gripped him before starting to wash away. With his back against the mattress and her on his front, he can forget being topless and on display and focus on what's really important - her.

The deeper the kiss gets, the more he can relax into the pillows behind him, as his mind sinks into a place that's far more zen than he ever really allows himself to experience.]}

[That's more like it.

She can feel him beginning to relax under her, and that's almost as gratifying as the noises he was making before. She knows by now that Slaine rarely, if ever, relaxes. So, if this allows him to do so, if it makes him feel good enough to let his anxieties go...

It must mean she's doing something right.

She doesn't want to break the kiss, but she ends up having to so that they can both breathe - but when she does, she trails more kisses from the corner of his mouth, along his jawline, as she pants to catch her breath.

Her breath ghosts out over her skin as she comes to a spot on his neck, just a bit down from his ear. She kisses there lightly, her tongue darting out to lick at his skin.]

...is this an okay spot?

[Her voice comes out in a whisper, her breath hot against his ear.]

_{[It's one thing doing this sort of thing to someone else, but to be on the receiving end is entirely different. The moment he feels her breath on his neck, tongue flicking out and making contact with his skin...he knows it's over. He feels like he's back in one of the mobile suit hangers, in zero gravity with the way his stomach drops. Who would've thought the anticipation of something so relatively simple would leave him feeling weightless?]}

Y-Yes...

[Her heartbeat quickens as he voices his assent.

It's okay. It's really okay. Yona sucks in a breath, then shifts her head forward to press her lips to his skin again.

She's gentle at first, with soft little brushes of her lips against his skin before her tongue flicks out to lap at his skin. They're soft, teasing touches, every so often between kisses to his neck -

Until, finally, she nips at his neck before suckling the skin. She has no real idea how to go about doing this, so she's just going to try all of the things she remembers Slaine doing to her.]

_{[That's it. He's died and gone to, well, somewhere that isn't here. Not heaven or hell but a place of fuzzy bliss that has him gasping quietly at the feel of teeth on his skin. The subsequent suck only serves to make his toes curl as his hands find her back, in a bid to hold her close and in place.

He cocks his neck to the side as she starts to get to work on leaving a mark just as vibrant as the one he'd left on her. Even if he might not be able to hide it as well ultimately he won't really mind it.

After all, he had asked her to do this.]}

[His hands at her back keep her from getting up - not that she was going to. Her attention is pretty heavily focused on that one spot on his neck, and she alternates between sucking at the skin and biting down on it with her teeth. Not hard enough to draw blood, of course, but certainly hard enough to feel.

She doesn't know how long she has to keep at this to leave a mark that will stay for the next couple of days, but she draws her head back every so often to take a look and to catch her breath.

Finally, once it does look dark enough, she nuzzles his cheek before bringing her lips back to his again.]

_{[It feels like she's giving him a hickey for ages, only to have her nuzzle his cheek and kiss him sweetly once she deems the mark satisfactory. Every little press of teeth and tug of skin had left him sighing, so much so he's practically breathless once her lips find his again.

He can't help but give her a squeeze, returning the kiss slowly but dripping with affection. It's all he can feel right now, his mind and attention completely and utterly focused on her and her alone - the ache of his shoulder is a distant memory as are his usual insecurities.]}

[It's not just one long kiss, but instead a series of soft, gentle kisses that she gives him as she settles back against him, her arms coming around him to return the squeeze so that she can stay close and soak up his warmth.

It's baffling to her, that he's so willing to just let her do this - not only that, but that he seems to really want it. But if it makes him happy, she won't turn away from it.

Getting tangled up with him like this feels right. It's warm and relaxing, and in his arms like this, she feels safe.]

_{[She really has managed to worm her way into his heart, breaking down the walls he puts up to protect himself. It's only her that he's let get so close to him, both physically and emotionally. Somehow, she's tamed him, like a wild, nervous animal, to seek out the affection she's willing to give. He's learned to come when she calls, when he thinks she needs him...and really that's the root of it all - being needed is the driving force that keeps him at her side.

This is something he wants, and he's shocked at himself for it. He wants her. Truly.]}

[Yona smiles, and when he speaks, she shifts her head a bit so that she can nuzzle his cheek instead of kissing him. It would be sort of rude to cut him off while he's trying to say something, after all.]

I do, too.

[She typically doesn't do things she dislikes, too; he can rest assured that she wouldn't be doing this at all if she didn't want to.]

_{[Real talk? He hasn't thought of anything else beyond what they're doing now. Kissing Yona and holding her close is more than enough for him (or so he thinks) and so he hasn't bothered to ponder on what more they could do.]}

[She hasn't either, really - at least, not any specifics. But they've made good progress by getting him to admit that he wants this and that he likes it, and she would like to see him express his desires more often.]

[She brushes her lips against his cheek in a soft kiss.]

[She really hasn't given much thought to anything more than this. She brings one of her hands up to brush her fingers against the side of his face before stroking her hand through his hair. ...it's impossibly soft. Man, that's just unfair.]

_{[He can't help but lean into the touch, lips parted slightly as her fingers caress his face, only to make their way into his hair. It feels good, having her play with the strands, nails against his scalp. It's this kind of gentle affection he's craved his entire life...so of course he's going to be a little greedy when he's given it.]}

Then, I'll keep doing it.

[His hair isn't especially long, but there's enough of it that she can easily run her fingers through it, marveling at how soft it is. She smiles and leans in to kiss him again, briefly, with a giggle.]

Your hair is really soft. How do you get it like that?

_{[Is this what it's like to be coddled? Honestly he can't complain. He's so focused on the way Yona's doting on him now that he's more or less forgotten about his bandaged shoulder. For lack of a better way to put it, he's under her spell.]}

I just wash it...that's all. I think your hair is softer.

[She wrinkles her nose.]

No, it isn't... it still gets tangled up and frizzy even when I wash it.

[Her hair is thicker and longer than his, though. It's to be expected. The slightly sour expression slides off her face quickly - it's hard to stay annoyed, even by her hair, when she's cuddled up to him like this.]

...I really like your hair. And your eyes.

[And him, honestly. She likes him a lot.]
