Gravity -- why hath thou forsaken me?
Who: Jessica Jones (
assholic) & Clark Kent (
apricitous) & OPEN
What: New ability rearing its head
When: December 07 - December 14
Where: Closed log @ her and Clark's home, randomly around Wyver.
Warning(s): Language? Will adjust if needed
Whether it was the Orbiters enhancing something she already had or something new creeping into her system, Jessica Jones was now capable of more than just 'falling with style'. Her morning with Clark and how well that had gone (/sarcasm) was making her a little concerned about having to leave the house. As to what that meant to others?
They might come across a scowling woman clutching onto a doorway. Or a tree. Or maybe she's reached out and grabbed someone -- perhaps a little too hard? Anyone noticing this might also notice that during these times, her feet might not always touch the ground, and if she's grabbed onto someone, that someone might feel an odd upward tug.
God help anyone that makes her jump. She'll remember you. She'll owe you.
[Feel free to PM about specifics or pp me @
junglewere. Open prompts for anyone in Wyver, but she can be pinged/messaged by people in Olympia if anyone happens to gossip.]

She was going to wind up in big shit eventually.]
I hear Olympia's a bit more... shiny. Wyver seems to be the rustic city. Is that true?

There doesn't seem to be as much of a divide between rich and poor in Wyver as there is in Olympia. I didn't notice anybody starving or begging in the streets in Olympia or anything, but there is a nobles district there. They seem to like fighting a lot more in Wyver than in Olympia.
[The Guard is one of the main things that appeals to her about Olympia, whereas the fighting rings are what she likes best here. That, and the more casual structure of the society. They had a King on Planet Sadala, but beyond that, it was one's fighting ability that earned prestige on her homeworld.]

[Upper crust vs the denizens of the street. Seems no matter what universe they were in, what world they were on, or who was the big bad on whatever planet or above it, there would always be a class system, because selfishness was universal.]

[She's a bit confused, since Jessica isn't really one to elaborate unless prompted, from what she's observed so far.]

Wow. I can't even imagine living with that many people so close together. What do you for hunting and growing food?
[It's not that she's never seen a marketplace or a factory before coming here, but it's hard for her to fathom a large concentration of people together without there being some sort of issue with distribution of food.]

It's called a grocery store. Or a restaurant. Or a shitty hot dog cart. Cities are for living in, not... farming and growing shit.

[Flying under one's own power rather than using some sort of aircraft or spacecraft seems to be either unheard of or much rarer in other universes. But it's still a bit odd to think of. When they reach the pub, Kale's already eager for some food.
She's delighted when she sees a sign that says "all you can eat" wings.]
...oh wow, it's only that many silvers for all I can eat? That's great!

[What exactly did one say to 'a lot of people can fly'? It might explain why she hadn't been that surprised to find Jessica clinging to her earlier. God, what kind of universe had this one come from? How many more were there out there with weird shit like that?
The exclamation has Jessica turning, looking at the sign and then snorting.]
Find me one that says all you can drink and I'll be happy.
