[ his hair stands out from the crowd, making it easy for her to spot him, to recognize him. she remembers their first encounter still, the humidity of Wyver jungle, the pictures that he taught her to take.

there is a mass of people moving and dancing between them, but her height makes it easy to see him still, and when he happens to glance in her direction, she smiles and waves — hoping that he spots her, realizes that it's him she's waving at.

perhaps this time, she can show him that she actually rather liked his company, despite their differing homeworlds and experiences. ]
