Save a horse, Ride a Cowboy
Who: Senren Lavellan (
heraldsdawn) & Jesse McCree (
good_bamf_ugly)
What: Meeting the Boy cow at the stables
When: It's Hiiiiiiigh Mid afternoon
Where: The Stables
Warning(s): none currently
[He'd been doing his own walk arounds of this place. He's still getting familiar with this strange new land and it wouldn't do if he was serious on setting up a second Inquisition if he didn't know where to go. His walkabouts took him to many places in the city, from armouries to tailors. But the final place he came across is the stables.
Ah yes. He remembers they had a lot of trouble securing horses back home. That a horse master was needed. Maybe it'd be a good idea to look into one now. As he's walking over to enter the barn building he all but stops when he see's a very recognizable human off by the horse pen.
Wasn't that...?]
McCree, right? [ He speaks as he approaches the taller human. He definitely feels dwarfed next to him but he's not about to let that bother him now.]
What are you doing here?

What are you doing here?

[ He yells after, now kicking his horse in the sides to make it race after. Cracking the reins he lets out a few loud; ] YAW! YAW!
[ the horse chases after McCree's and it takes it a few moments for Lavellan to even begin to get close behind the other. They aren't neck and neck yet, but they were beginning to get closer to their finish line. There's a look of determination as he looks at McCree's back as he cracks the reins harder to make his horse go. ]

Once he passes the tree he lets his horse slow down naturally into a gallop and then easy trot. The horse exhales through its nostrils like that was either a nuisance or not enough. McCree grins but he knows that wasn't entirely fair. And to Lavellan's credit, he trailed behind only by a little bit. He can tell he's got what it takes. It was just a warm up!]
So you can ride. Not bad. Wanna' have a rematch?
[A fair one.]

Hm, I'm not sure you're not going to take off on me again, are you?
[ And he has the horse saunter up next to McCree's horse as he looks up to him with a look of cocky determination. ]
Because we both know I could take you in a fair race.

But I'll behave since you asked so nice.
[He'll stick to his word because this sure as heck was fun and he thinks he'll enjoy having another go at the other man.]
This tree to the fence.
Ready?

[ It's definitely appreciated. The wink earns a half grin but he's definitely not going to lose this time.
With the rules set out for the race he looks to McCree. On the ready he nods and says; ]
Ready...Set...go!
[ And he takes off. ]

The hat is very important, as Lavellan already knows.]

His horse responds in kind and it charges a good ten feet past the finish. He rears the horse in and turns giving the man a smirk across his lips. ]
Well, I'd say that's all tied up.
