Let's Do This! Persona Training & January Catch-all

I. Never Skip Leg....oh
He's been talking about it for awhile, but now that the craziness of moving countries and the ball and most of the repairs are over, Ryuji is sending messages to every single Persona user he can think of. Unfortunately, because he's been so tired working out lately, he might accidentally misfire a few texts along the way:

hey i need to give Captain Kidd a run - you wanna go train Personas? meet just outside the city walls in the forest - don't be late!

II. Week One: Repairs
The natives of Olympia may not see him in the best of light because he refuses to really ally himself with one nation or the other, but they'll still accept his help when it comes to cleaning and repairs. Ryuji doesn't get why these people can't put aside their differences even now when they've both been attacked, they've both suffered, and they worked together to overcome the attacks. When he goes to Wyver, they treat him like shit. When he's in Olympia, they give him suspicious looks.

He thought he was finished caring about that sort of crap, but here he is, trying to help wherever he's allowed and running himself ragged in the process. During a rare break, he flops onto the ground and dumps a cup of water right over his head - and might just get water all over anyone walking by.


III. All Month:

[ yep. he has no idea what this means. but he's going to go regardless, because it sounds... interesting? what's a Captain Kidd? is it one of those video games that Ryuji brought up before? ofc he completely ignores the whole 'Persona' part, but he does catch 'train'.

at least he knows that much. ]

[ he's already waving as soon as he spots the familiar figure and his blonde hair. his tail is also in the process of warming up with a few swishes. ]

[Ryuji is dressed plainly, not in his usual school uniform, but in a pair of rough pants and a plain shirt. It isn't the greatest workout attire, but it's better than getting his normal clothes gross and sweaty. He's stretching on the grass under some trees when he hears someone approaching.

Assuming it's one of his friends, he barely looks up until he hears a voice that's both familiar and completely unexpected. Ryuji jumps up, stuttering as he realizes who just emerged into his training area.]

K-Keaton? What're you doin' here?

[notwagging]

You sent me a message! Something about Kidds running and training, and I thought you were talking about one of your games.

[ tilting his head to the side, he's only now wondering if he misinterpreted something? but not yet at the point of maybe he wasn't supposed to get the text in the first place. ]

So! I could go for a little... uh, challenge.

[Wait, he did? Ryuji reaches into his pocket and takes out his phone, scrolling back through the messages he sent.



Sure enough, there Keaton's name is with the message he hadn't meant to send to him. Oops.]

Um, well, it ain't exactly a game, but we could do the sports thing I suggested?

[notwagging]

[ only happy little mistakes, Ryuji. ]

Hm... okay, sure. That sounds good, too.

[ but Keaton narrows his eyes at the teen, humming in thought. ]

As long as it involves some kind of training. I haven't gotten to stretch my legs out in a while, so to speak!

Most sports kinda do. [He's glad that Keaton is rolling with the punches so to speak, and not asking too many questions about all the OTHER things Ryuji tossed into that text.]

Usually, I go runnin'. You up for a warm-up and then a race?

[notwagging]

[ and happy houses, with a happy sun and a happy doggo. ]

Running? Oh! I can help you with that, no problem.

[ a gleam in his eye signifies that yes, he has a plan. he's going to be totally useful and NOT do anything particularly... dangerous. ]

How about this: I'll give you a head start, and I'll cha--- follow you. You'd be surprised how fast I can be!

[ and his tail starts to wag. ]

[Wait. His tail is wagging and this guy is at least half</> dog.

Dammit, did he just agree to get chased by a dog-man?

But then again, what's the worst that can happen? It's not like he hasn't run for his life before and it isn't like Keaton would hurt him? What's the harm?]

Yeah, okay. Sure. But don't tackle me, okay? My leg's a little... [He makes a vague gesture and then turns, getting ready to run.]

You good?

... I won't tackle you.

[ he can promise that much at least. besides, a tackle from Keaton might crush Ryuji, and the last thing he wants to do is murder someone who totally doesn't deserve it. after all, under all that fluff is a lot of muscle, so... ]

Look, as soon as you get out of eyesight, I'll go.

[ he slips the Beaststone out of his pocket, holding it up. ]

You'll get a really good workout, I promise.
