Let's Do This! Persona Training & January Catch-all
Who: Ryuji Sakamoto (
sakabroto) & OPEN
What: Catch-all and Persona training
When: All January
Where: Olympia, Thesa, all over
Warning(s): n/a, in headers if needed
I. Never Skip Leg....oh
He's been talking about it for awhile, but now that the craziness of moving countries and the ball and most of the repairs are over, Ryuji is sending messages to every single Persona user he can think of. Unfortunately, because he's been so tired working out lately, he might accidentally misfire a few texts along the way:
hey i need to give Captain Kidd a run - you wanna go train Personas? meet just outside the city walls in the forest - don't be late!
II. Week One: Repairs
The natives of Olympia may not see him in the best of light because he refuses to really ally himself with one nation or the other, but they'll still accept his help when it comes to cleaning and repairs. Ryuji doesn't get why these people can't put aside their differences even now when they've both been attacked, they've both suffered, and they worked together to overcome the attacks. When he goes to Wyver, they treat him like shit. When he's in Olympia, they give him suspicious looks.
He thought he was finished caring about that sort of crap, but here he is, trying to help wherever he's allowed and running himself ragged in the process. During a rare break, he flops onto the ground and dumps a cup of water right over his head - and might just get water all over anyone walking by.
III. All Month:
[Anything else you want to do with Ryuji? I'm down for anything - especially once the bulletins go up. hmu via PM or at
wagashi and we can plot!]

[There's definitely the prospect of war looming on the horizon - which is more than a little unsettling. What they've experienced with the Metaverse is one thing, but this...?
It's not something that they can fix by stealing hearts, although it wouldn't surprise her at all if there were Palaces for some of the higher-ups on either side. If the Metaverse existed here, could the war be averted...?
Probably better not to dwell on that.]
Well, we can't go to Mementos, but perhaps exploring the ruins might be similar enough to suit our purposes?

[The ruins were filled with not only treasure, but usually monsters of varying sizes, too. It made it an almost perfect match to Mementos in its own bizarre way. It would just be a lot less convenient to get around without Morgana being their personal bus.]
You wanna race there? It'd be a good warm-up if nothing else.

[Ex-runner and all. But... Haru doesn't really seem opposed to the idea. It's not as if they don't all regularly sprint in the Metaverse. ...or, past tense, she supposes.
Ah, well. There's no reason for them not to run now.]
But I'm willing to give it a try. On your mark, get set...!
[She'll give him a moment or two to get into position.]
...go!

[Especially with his leg still not being at the best of conditions. It's been getting better since they've had to do so much running in the Metaverse and thanks to Akira and Prompto's training sessions, but...well. He's pretty sure he'll never get back to where he was.
The count is on though and he hunkers down like he used to back in his club days more to humour Haru than to actually get himself ready. When the proverbial gun goes off, he takes off as well, running without pushing himself too much toward the ruins.]

...they're both pacing themselves, which is a good thing; sprinting when they're this distance from the ruins would likely just wear them out and leave them unable to train their Personas, which was the whole point of coming out here today.
For now, Haru matches her pace to Ryuji's.
(Although she'll likely try to pull ahead when their goal actually comes into sight. She can't help but be a little competitive, when she's up against such a strong opponent.)]
