[Mephisto's absence from the Sanctuary is understandable, Mipha tells herself. He's been held here, hadn't he? Right under everyone's noses... Similarly to how she has no desire to step foot near the Royal Guard Academy, but at least the academy isn't a place she has any need to be near anyhow.

But, if Mipha allows herself to indulge in selfish thoughts, it's been rather... nice, having Mephisto around. She still can't sleep soundly through the night anymore, but it's comforting to wake and roll over to pet his dog form or press her face into his fur and just remember to breathe. Sometimes she's able to fall asleep again, and sometimes she just rests and holds him. But it helps. She just wishes she could find a way to return the favor.

Which, incidentally, is why she's coming home so early. It's not like she knows for sure if he'll go for her idea, but helping the other healers with physical therapy and the like has given her some insight into massage and if anyone also deserves a chance to relax and be pampered... It's not as though he hadn't removed his clothing around her before now.

And it's strange, she thinks, as she quietly enters her home, how she's gotten used to him being home waiting for her. And it's strange how nice it is to come home to someone. Not that it wasn't nice o come home to talk with Percy or Medoh or anything like that, but there was an obvious difference when it was Mephisto.

Mipha moves quietly, seeing the bathroom door closed. If she'd given it more thought she certainly would have knocked, but she knows it's not Percy and Mephisto is always trying to scare her so turnabout is fair play, right? Which is why she tosses the door open without preamble, smiling brightly]
