If you came to learn:
[Today's teacher (yes, the teacher is a Japanese teenager) can be found sitting on a bench in the gardens. It may take her a moment to notice someone else is there, but she makes up for it once she does jumping up to greet her potential student.]
Hi! Did you come to learn magic today?
If you came to laugh:
[While no one was around to teach, Akko had decided to practice her own stubborn spells. She had just started to get the hang of making her broom fly when… well, everything happened. There were only two choices as far as she was concerned: she could be sad about the end of the world (and she was!) or she could keep on moving forward.
In true Akko form, she was going to keep pushing herself until she got it right. That way, when Professor Ursula woke up (and Akko just knew she would one day!) she could show her how much better she'd become.
So, there's a witch, and a wand, and a broom in the gardens. However, none of them are doing much flying. It looks like she's back at square one for the moment as she continues to straddle the broom.]
Tia Freyre. [Nothing.]

Oh come on! Tia Freyre!

[They don't use them for flying on their brooms. But it does lead to a few questions of her own. Do they really need them? Can they do magic without? Why or why not? If she's lucky she'll remember to ask Diana later; if not...oh well.
She watches him more patiently than some might expect while waiting for something to possibly happen.]
Hmm. Well, you can't give up after only trying once. Keep trying.

[ But they also don't fly on brooms? So there's that too. Granted he doesn't know about the brooms yet. He might laugh if he finds out.
He frowns as nothing happens. Ok, he'll try again. Concentrating hard, he focuses on that rock and wills all 5 of his MP to work and move the rock. ]
I don't think I can just move the rock. It needs a spell.

[Akko runs off for a few minutes and comes back with two brooms. Thankfully she's been practicing and can sort of hover once more, so she can show him how to do it. She hands him one of the brooms and straddles her own.]
If you need a spell, try this one. Just concentrate on lifting up and the broom taking flight. Tia Freyre.
[And tada! Akko is floating about twelve inches off the ground - just enough to lift her feet and not fall.]

[ Waver blinks as she runs back, and blinks again when she presents him with a broom and then straddles the leftover one. Is she really...... oh. Yes, yes she is. ]
You...fly on a broom.
[ Snort. He tries to hold it in, but he has to laugh. He laughs so much he can't take the magic words seriously enough to try them yet. ]

[There is very little in the way of Akko and flying on a broom, but it is a thing. She doesn't understand why he's laughing though. It's not that funny... Is it?]

[ He looks at the broom in hand and takes a deep breath to clear the giggles. ] At least, outside of old stories and tall tales.
