[For those who venture down to the see the underground fights, they might find a peculiar scene waiting for them. Standing in the arena and awaiting his opponent is Shell. But for those who know him, there's really no questions that he's not exact;y the fighting type. What's he doing there? Well...]
A. VS (Previous CR only please!)
[...it looks like he's your opponent today. He doesn't look very intimidating, not particularly dressed down beyond having taken off his jacket and scarf, and he doesn't seem to be holding a weapon of any kind. But something you might notice is that a good chunk of the crowd seems to be stepping back. You probably haven't seen what he can do yet -- but even the refferee looks a little standoffish, climbing up over the barricade to stand atop it, out of reach. But as for Shell-- well, he didn't expect to see anyone he knew here.]
...what are you doing here?
B. Domination (OTA)
[...it looks like his battle is about to start. If you're smart, and you've chosen to follow the crowd in sitting in one of the higher seats, then you'll only see the "battle" play out. Shell enters, and just as his opponent starts getting into stance to fight, he suddenly freezes and collapses to his knees. As Shell steps closer, the man starts to scream, pleading for it to "stop" -- whatever it is. Eventually, Shell leans down and whispers something to him, and he starts screaming for the refferee that he gives up.]
[But if you were curious enough to stay as close to the ring as possible, then you'll get to experience what those sitting in the higher seats can only watch: a strong sense of fear and dread seemingly emanates off the battle arena, causing those sitting closest to experience effects similar to the man in the ring. Some start crying, others scream, but most of them only stand and stare in petrified silence. Even the refferee seems affected for a few moments, taking far too long to end the match and give Shell the win.]
[And the moment he does, the heavy atmosphere disappears as suddenly as it appeared. But as Shell heads off stage to wait for his next match, for some reason, he doesn't look very happy about it.]
[ooc: Feel free to alter prompts as you see fit! Let me know in Prompt A whether your character will be effected by Shell's pheromones, as they have a 25% chance of failing entirely. Please note that if you choose to have your character sit too close in Prompt B, they will be affected as well. If you'd like to avoid that, have them sit further back!]

For the remaining weeks, Reign let Shell explored on his own, knowing that his friend needed to find his own footing. He couldn't always be there, and he knew Shell occasionally preferred to be alone. Such as those times when Shell went to purchase his supply of food.
As for Reign himself, the time spent between them had gotten less as he focused on his perfume business, researching and coming up with more scents. Today, though, he decided to test one of his experimental scent, and who better to do that on than Shell! The moment Shell had returned from town, Reign had pounced on him for his help.
There was a bit of a mildly crazed look in Reign's eyes (the kind scientist and researchers usually have) as he held up a nondescript spray bottle in his hand. ]
I'm testing a new scent recipe, and was wondering if you could take a few whiffs of it and let me know of your opinion.
[ The scent would start off with a subtly sweet note, gradually gliding to a hint of spice before revealing its earthy tone. But what Reign didn't tell Shell was that he'd include a bit of dragon blood essence. If his little experimenting turned out well, it would give the wearer confidence and an ego boost. ]
no subject
[But it's fine, he can see that look in Reign's eyes and knows he's just excited -- and if Shell can do something to help him after everything he's done for Shell so far, then all the better!]
Hm... it smells pretty nice to me. It's not too strong, and has a rather pleasant undertone to it. But there's something else in here, isn't there? But I can't quite place it...
[Shell's no expert on smells here, but he can smell the traces of blood left in the perfume, subtle though it may be.]
[But there's something else going on too. Something that might take a few minutes to really show itself.]
no subject
Either way, Reign waited as patiently as he could, like a dog waiting on a treat. ]
Really! You can smell that there's something else as well, isn't it?
[ Should he tell Shell? Maybe he should. Reign bit his lower lip, letting a bit of anticipation build in the air, before saying in a loud whisper, one hand cupping the side of his mouth. ]
There's actually a bit of of dragon blood in it. Well, not really. Just the essence of it. Molecule properties of the blood.
no subject
[He knew dragons were a thing in Wyver by now, yes, but why use their blood? It seemed like an odd choice to him.]
Is there some sort of special property to it? [He asks already knowing the answer -- he knows Reign wouldn't throw something random into one of his perfumes unless there was a purpose behind it, after all.]
[But it's strange. He can't quite place it, but there's something different about the air now. Something that has him leaning in closer with zero hesitation when Reign speaks in a loud whisper, eyes lingering on the way Reign bites at his lower lip.]
1/2
Yes, indeed they do. To tell you the truth, I've tried some dragon's blood before while doing a quest. Didn't end up too well, but anyway, it's supposed to give you a sense of confidence, make you bolder and dare to do things you otherwise wouldn't.
It also burns like very strong alcohol. [ He made a face at that. ] Tastes quite nice, though. A bit spicy.
no subject
Urm... do you feel any differently? Maybe it doesn't work the same way with perfumes.
no subject
[But then Reign steps away from him... and that's strange. He doesn't really like that. And so he steps forward, once more closing the distance between them.]
I don't feel any different, no... but what's wrong? Is the smell too strong for you?
no subject
Again when Shell stepped forward, Reign took one back, and like some cliche romance, found his back hitting against the wall. Err... ]
Ah, no. Not at all. You just look... a bit odd.
[ Like that time when Reign was on his knees with Shell towering over him, whip in his hands. Almost. The strange thing was, Shell wasn't even using his pheromones now. ]
no subject
Really? Because I think you're the one acting odd right now.
[Sorry, did Reign think he wasn't using his Pheromones? They've been acting up lately, so it's not until he reaches up to place a hand under Reign's chin and tilt his face up that Reign will smell--]
[...roses? A very strong, very distinct scent of roses. There's no fear, no intimidation, the air isn't heavy at all... but they're definitely working right now.]
[It's just, the only part of them that is working is the aphrodisiac. Which is subtle enough that he won't notice it right away, instead the effects coming on gradually, and growing stronger the longer they linger in the air.]
And I'm not just talking about right now. You've been more distant than usual for a while now. You don't touch me as easily, you don't flirt with me... it's subtle. But did you really think I wouldn't notice?
no subject
Then there was the telltale scent of roses. Reign was most certain that he hadn't included rose essence in this particular perfume, so where... Ah... It was coming from Shell. Reign hadn't know that Shell's pheromones smelled like roses until he was here in Nysa, breathing in the different scent of flowers and connecting the dots. ]
Is... is t-that so? [ Was he stuttering? Why was he? Shell wasn't someone he should be wary of, at least not anymore. The scent of rose was making Reign dizzy as he glanced up into Shell's piercing green eyes, suddenly feeling all too warm. ] I was... busy, as you know. With the perfume business and all. [ That was a lame excuse, though there was a deeper reason why Reign kept a bit of his distance, knowing Shell and Eric's relationship. Did Shell miss his closeness? The way he often clung to Shell? Maybe Reign really had neglected his friend a bit. ]
no subject
[All these things he's saying... they're thoughts he's had, certainly. But not thoughts he was ever really planning to voice. After all, his more rational self knew there were good explanations for all of this. Some were obvious, some less so... and some he really had no idea about. But there was no reason to bring them up when ultimately the only reason they were a problem at all was because Shell was being too needy.]
[But then... Reign himself said that was fine, didn't he?]
[And so Shell leans in closer -- dangerously close, his breath hot against Reign's lips, with Shell pointedly maintaining that small distance between them.]
You were the one who told me to be as needy as I wanted. And we both know I need you.
[His hand smooths upward, now resting on Reign's cheek.]
But I need you to need me too.
no subject
I had thought to give you some space to explore on your own. I didn't want to be too overbearing when you might need some time alone.
[ Especially with Shell coming from that particular time. But perhaps Reign had neglected the fact that Shell would want to depend on him, that Reign would still yearn to seek him out. ]
So I—
[ Reign sucked in a quick breath at the sudden closeness, felt the heat of Shell's breath against his lips. Oh, how easy it would be to lean it and capture those tempting lips. He missed it. If things hadn't ended the way it did, would he and Shell have had a chance? ]
I do, Shell. [ He said as he leaned into Shell's palm, reaching his own up to touch Shell's hand, squeezing gently. ] But is this all right with you? [ Was this right? Reign didn't know, not when Shell's pheromones was clouding his senses, the rational part of his mind. ]
no subject
Reign...
[The next words that leave Shell's lips are words Shell never intended to say to Reign.]
[Words that were ultimately true, easily pieced together-- but surrounded by circumstances far more complicated, that made pointing out such a thing almost cruel.]
...you know I wasn't the one who broke our engagement.
[Shell had said yes. Shell had wanted to say yes. And maybe if he had never met One, things might have ended up different between them. Painful in a different way, no doubt -- he was still an abnormal, after all -- but different nonetheless.]
[But he's not saying this to be cruel.]
[He's saying it so Reign understands the storm brewing in his heart as he leans forward and steals Reign's lips into a kiss.]
no subject
Reign had been the one who broke the engagement in the end, hadn't he? Calling it off after finding out Shell's true nature, having known that they couldn't never be an item. If Reign had pursue the matter, would things have went differently? After all, that did have some feelings for each other then. ]
Shell—
[ Whatever Reign wanted to say next were swallowed by Shell's lips on his, taking him by surprise. He wanted to push Shell back, to make sense of this sudden turn of event, his free hand already placed on the other's chest. But rather than put some distance between them, Reign's fingers curled around the front of Shell's shirt, tugging him closer as he moaned into the kiss.
Damn, he shouldn't be doing this. It wasn't fair to Shell or Eric. And yet it felt so good, the sweet cloying scent of rose having overpowered the tester perfume. ]
1/3
[But it's not meant to last. Indeed, the strength of Shell's pheromones have damn near completely wiped away all trace of the perfume. And as the last of it filtered out of the air, so too are the overwhelming effects brought on by the dragon blood erased.]
[It's slow at first. What was once fiercely passionate kissing quiets down into something gentle, almost sweet. His hands move down to Reign's shoulders, and he gently pushes him back...]

[...]

I-I'm sorry! I used my pheromone without thinking! I don't know what came over me, I just... s-suddenly...
1/2
On the other hand, Reign was kissing back with just as much fervor, the passion gradually dying to a low simmer until Shell pushed him back. Though really, there wasn't anywhere Reign could go since his back was already pressed to the way.
His eyelids flutter open, the effects of Shell's pheromones still running its course in his system. ]
Shell...
[ Why did Shell look confused? ]
no subject
Shell...
[ That hadn't been intentional? It was almost unheard of for their kind to lose control over their pheromones. Maybe in the heat of a situation, perhaps. But... ]
No, no... Did something happen before you started using your pheromones?
no subject
[A pause. And then looking back at Reign, still blushing like mad.]
What... did you say the dragon blood could do again?
no subject
But it wasn't like Shell to be careless, unless it happened without his knowledge. ]
Urm... [ Reign counted off his fingers. ] It increases your stamina, gives you a confidence boost, possibly make you aggressive, make you bolder and do things you usually wouldn't think of doing.
[ Hmm... Some of it seemed to describe what had happened to Shell. ]
no subject
[REIGN YOU DRUGGED HIM]
[AND MADE HIM WEIRD]
[...]
[AND NOTHING HE SAID WAS UNTRUE and somehow that makes it that much more embarrassing.]
1/2
Really?
[ ...
Oh. ]
That does seem like the case. Maybe I used too much dosage of dragon blood.
no subject
Perhaps I shouldn't have used that Verrilium sap either. [ Because rumour was that it was something of a truth serum. ] Oh yes, reduce the amount of dragon blood. Add something a bit sweet, maybe?
no subject
[Well, seeing as Shell still has a firm grip of both his shoulders -- he's just gonna shake him a little.]
R-Reign! Come on, shouldn't we talk about this!?
