[For those who venture down to the see the underground fights, they might find a peculiar scene waiting for them. Standing in the arena and awaiting his opponent is Shell. But for those who know him, there's really no questions that he's not exact;y the fighting type. What's he doing there? Well...]

A. VS (Previous CR only please!)
[...it looks like he's your opponent today. He doesn't look very intimidating, not particularly dressed down beyond having taken off his jacket and scarf, and he doesn't seem to be holding a weapon of any kind. But something you might notice is that a good chunk of the crowd seems to be stepping back. You probably haven't seen what he can do yet -- but even the refferee looks a little standoffish, climbing up over the barricade to stand atop it, out of reach. But as for Shell-- well, he didn't expect to see anyone he knew here.]

...what are you doing here?

B. Domination (OTA)
[...it looks like his battle is about to start. If you're smart, and you've chosen to follow the crowd in sitting in one of the higher seats, then you'll only see the "battle" play out. Shell enters, and just as his opponent starts getting into stance to fight, he suddenly freezes and collapses to his knees. As Shell steps closer, the man starts to scream, pleading for it to "stop" -- whatever it is. Eventually, Shell leans down and whispers something to him, and he starts screaming for the refferee that he gives up.]

[But if you were curious enough to stay as close to the ring as possible, then you'll get to experience what those sitting in the higher seats can only watch: a strong sense of fear and dread seemingly emanates off the battle arena, causing those sitting closest to experience effects similar to the man in the ring. Some start crying, others scream, but most of them only stand and stare in petrified silence. Even the refferee seems affected for a few moments, taking far too long to end the match and give Shell the win.]

[And the moment he does, the heavy atmosphere disappears as suddenly as it appeared. But as Shell heads off stage to wait for his next match, for some reason, he doesn't look very happy about it.]


[ooc: Feel free to alter prompts as you see fit! Let me know in Prompt A whether your character will be effected by Shell's pheromones, as they have a 25% chance of failing entirely. Please note that if you choose to have your character sit too close in Prompt B, they will be affected as well. If you'd like to avoid that, have them sit further back!]

I can’t answer that for you, but judging from what I know, I doubt you never gave him anything worthwhile.

[Shell seems like the kind of person who loves with all their heart and soul, and he can’t imagine him not being entirely devoted to One if the guy meant so much to him. Chuuya can’t even begin to guess why the guy left, but he’d bet money that it wasn’t Shell’s fault.

Before he can say anything else Shell downs the shot, and it gets the exact reaction Chuuya was expecting.]

[There’s a million reasons why Chuuya likes that particular kind of whiskey, but mostly because it’s like a fucking punch in the mouth that gets him drunk just a bit quicker than regular whiskey.]

It's not like this is the first time he's thought about Chuuya in a context like this. Hell, he's probably had at least one or two uncomfortable dreams about him, especially upon remembering what he said back when they walked through Shell's memories -- with Chuuya looking around Shell's playroom and admitting to being a dom.]

[Even in his alcohol addled mind, Shell can tell there's been a shift in the mood. But rather than pull away, if anything, his grip around Chuuya's shoulders tightens -- but he does raise up his head, at least.]

You're the second person to ask me that... do I really look like someone who knows a lot about love?

[He certainly doesn't think so. But he still remembers seeing Diva cry after he explained his feelings for One... maybe it helped to hear how other people felt about it?]

[He's silent for a few moments, before quietly speaking up. They're the same words he said to Diva, but for some reason, they feel so much harder to say now.]

For me, it's... when you're always thinking about them, even without meaning to. When you'd do anything for them, even if it meant getting hurt. And... when the thought of living without them is... so painful, just thinking about it is--

[The words catch in his throat as he chokes on a tiny, almost inaudible sob. But he's really trying not to cry -- he managed to talk about it before, so why...]

[Chuuya can’t even imagine Diva crying, but he also hasn’t had any super emotional conversations with her either, so...

Chuuya is silent as he listens to Shell’s explanation of love, and somehow it’s almost exactly what he’d thought love might be. It’s an eye-opening revelation to be sure, one that leaves him almost certain that he’s felt love before. It’s strange; you don’t join the Mafia expecting to be able to live a life that would allow such feelings to blossom, but now that he’s free...

Maybe he can let himself feel such a thing again without worrying about the consequences.]

[That part Chuuya can’t deny; even just caring for someone as a friend can be painful when you’re forced apart, so loving someone and losing them would hurt like hell.

Which is why he doesn’t berate Shell for the tears he knows are coming.]

I dunno much about it, but I don’t think you’re wrong, either.

[Chuuya turns around in Shell’s arms and gently paps his cheeks.]

It’s fine. I was just curious is all. You don’t have to say anything else.

[He grabs Shell by the wrist then and leads him over to the couch before urging him to sit down.]

[He sniffles when Chuuya pats his cheeks, tears already streaming down his face -- but no sobs. He managed to rein them in at least a little bit.]

[But he won't sit down on the couch just yet, tugging gently to free his arm from Chuuya's grip.]

A-Actually... I think I should drink something-- blood, I mean. I was already kinda hungry at the bar.

[And not animal blood, because the last thing he wants to do is play russian roulette with whether it'll make him sick when he's full of booze. Human blood made him nauseous for a different reason, but at least he'd be able to keep it down.]

[That request takes Chuuya completely off-guard, and he stops dead in his tracks. Shell really must be drunk to be so open about his hunger; all of the shame he’d felt before about what he is and his need for blood seem to have taken a backseat to satisfying that need, and Chuuya can’t say he’s upset about it.

There’s no use denying what you really are, after all, even if you don’t have to embrace it.]

I drank a lot too. You might get even more drunk from my blood.

[Yet Chuuya isn’t protesting as perches himself on the edge of the couch with a curious look. He did say he’d be Shell’s source, after all.]

[It probably is a bad idea to let Shell feed off of him when he’s wasted, but Chuuya is too pleasantly buzzed to think that far ahead. It hurt before, but it definitely wasn’t terrible, and he wouldn’t have minded offering up his neck again.

He follows after Shell because why not, and he’s surprised to see a stockpile of blood inside Reign’s fridge. He did mention having some bags set aside before, but Chuuya can’t help but wonder where all of it came from.]

Warm it up? I really fucking hope you’re not microwaving blood. That sounds that a bad idea.

[There are a few non-descript bottles in the fridge, a few that look like the animal blood Shell drank from before... but what Shell grabs look far more clinical, a labeled blood bag like the sort you'd find attached to an iv at the sanctuary.]

I'm not going to microwave it, that would just cook it. I use a tea pot.

[Which he'll start doing, thankfully having done this enough times in his life that it's second-nature -- so the drunkenness doesn't impede him too much.]

It's easier to drink when it's warm... cause then I can drink it faster. It doesn't taste bad, but... I still don't like it.
