(OPEN) Hast du etwas Zeit für mich
Who: Reinhardt Wilhelm (
panzersoldat) & YOU
What: the start of the Baraquors, working out, mini-quests and much much more
When: all through May
Where: Olympia and Wyver both
Warning(s): None right now. Will warn if needed
1. Seeking a few good people
It's a familiar face by now. There's a very very large older man. He wonders down the street with the slightest bounce in his step. Under his arms there's a small handful of fliers. The request is simple.
Seeking: Strong men and willing to do something slightly foolish for a very good cause.
Please Contact: Reinhardt Wilhelm for more details
He carefully places a flier where it can be viewed before moving on down the street. He has quite a few to still put up here. Then he has to get into his mobile home and make his way to Olympia to do it all over again.
2. Training
After the kidnapping, after his revival and his still slow recovery, Reinhardt has taken to working even harder on himself. He never wants to be in that spot again, never wants to be stuck, unable to help. He never wants to feel that weak again. And that means doing even more training.
He doesn't have the sort of weights he would have up on the station, so when he's down planet side, Reinhardt makes due with what he has. It means a lot of lifting and pulling. At the moment, he's got a tree truck half his size. He's walking his way from the Fields of the Exalted to the other side of the city of Wyver and back. The truck rests on his shoulders and he does squats with every other step.
Reinhardt sort of wishes there was an easier, less obvious way of doing this, but for now, this is what he has. But at least it's really early in the morning, before the heat gets too terrible. Really early. He's pretty surprised when he notices that he's not alone anymore.
3. Hunting and gathering - mini-quest
In the jungles, Reinhardt is pushing though the undergrowth. His clothing is stained with dirt, especially the knees. The reason for this is pretty obvious pretty quickly. His face grows into a large smile. He drops down on all fours and pushes a bush aside to get at some small berries. Wyver calls them "scalebarries". And while there are gardens of them, Reinhardt is now living a mobile life. He can't have a garden. Besides, the wild ones are better.
There's just the one problem. Instead of putting them in the basket like he's supposed to, he's popping them into his mouth. He can't help it. They really are good. At this rate, he's never going to be able to have enough to bring to Olympia for that request.
4. Moving on - The guard at the gates
[ Just outside the Southern Outpost sits a strange mobile home. The banners are brilliant, the golden griffon on a green backdrop. Beside the strange camper that looks like an actual house stands a huge white stallion. The horse grazes on fresh spring grass. Setting in front of the camper, Reinhardt has his full armor out. His armor. His horse's armor. He has a few scant tools.
He's not as good as Brigitte is. As Torbjorn is. But he's been maintaining his gear for years. It looks like he's going to be settling down right here. This is neutral territory and as a so called "Knight of the People", Reinhardt has decided to guard it for now.
He will smile if anyone approaches and wave them over.] My friend! Did you come to help with making this place more livable as well?
5. Beaches are for still not swimming
Guess who still can't swim? This guy!
The old man sits at the shore, the surf licking at his feet. His tee-shirt is off, letting his
broad scarred back to get sun. He seems a bit sad as he watches the ocean. "You know, I miss it. The sun in Gibraltar. I had the best tan. But I can't tan like that here. Too many people." Because of course back then, Reinhardt had been very very serious about having zero tan lines.
6 - Wildcard
Anything you want. Anything.

Anything you want. Anything.

"You have a bit of berry juice in your beard, my friend." He takes a small cloth out (he's been carrying a couple since a particular incident during the gala) and gently blots the stain. "I would prefer a full amount because they're needed in a test recipe."
no subject
"If you need them, then I'll try harder for you. It's just a little difficult when I know how good they taste. But I do know where to find more. I've found quite a few patches when I was out here looking for good places to fish. Maybe those will be ready to pick." A pause. "Maybe you can take a cutting and try to plant it where you live. Start your own garden." He was considering that himself. Putting a pot of these berries on the porch of Camperlot.
no subject
They might throw him in plant jail because he violated some unspoken contract that protects them.
"For now, would you be so kind as to guide me to some of the other patches, please?" Maybe there he can try some for himself.
no subject
He straightens up to stand at full height and smile down at the young man. Out of habit, his hand goes to the other's shoulder to give it a pat. "All right. Watch your step. Sometimes the plants here like to try and trip you and drag you to eat. They don't try with me cause I'm too big. But you might be just the right size." He's teasing of course. He knows there are dangers out here, but in this area, man eating plants aren't one of them.
"This way." He'll head off into the deeper jungle, going to where he knows huge patches of the things sit next to bubbling streams with teaming fish. "I like to fish around here. They're delicious over an open fire."
no subject
"You don't have to tell me twice, Rein. I've crossed weapons with such a plant." And he recalls helping Yusei rescue a missing cart vendor from a rather ravenous one. He hasn't trusted any plants since. He follows quietly after that, taking in any natural land marks that can be used if he decides to return.
"I don't believe I've had these kinds of fish before. How do they taste?"
no subject
"I think they taste really good. They have a very soft taste, subtle and a little salty. Once they start spawning, I'm going to set a net down here and see if I can dry them out and keep them in my camper as snacks. If you want, we can catch a few for you. To take back."
He lifts a very large leaf out of the way and there's a huge patch of berries behind it. "And here we are."
no subject
Venom came from a world that was knocked back to using horse and carriage with the occasional airship. Road vehicles were banned unless one lived on Zepp. "What's a camper?"
He ducks under the leaf and immediately kneels down to pick the berries. Perfect. "Thank you, Rein. And as for the fish, sure I'll take a few for snacks."
no subject
He tried hard not to eat any and put them in Venom's basket instead. "Wonderful!" As always, it comes out as 'vunderbar!'. "Then when we are done, I will go back and get my gear. We can fish. If you like them, I'll teach you how to make the snacks yourself."
no subject
Soon the basket has plenty of berries, and Venom does pluck one out so he can try it. It tastes like a sugary grape with an aftertaste that reminds him of flower honey. He can see himself working this into a syrup or jelly.
"I would like to learn either way. Just in case." He can make them for visitors to his home or long trips.
no subject
"They are good, aren't they. Now you see why it's so hard to stop eating them. I have a bit of a sweet tooth you see, and this just hits the spot." He pops a berry into his mouth and then goes to take the long process of standing back up.
"We'll go back to my camper then, so I can get a net. It's back the way we came. I'll also lend you a few jars to keep those berries in so they don't go bad on your way back to Olympia."
no subject
"Thank you, Rein. You're too kind." He's glad not all knights are uptight and rigid. Plus Venom finally gets to see this "camper" and find out what what makes it so dear to his friend.
