I suppose we can figure out all of that when and if the rest of our housemates get here, depending on gender. We can always move furniture around to see how space efficient we can be. Though I'm not sure how much we can do in this tiny place.

[He gave a small sigh and began to heat up some water for tea. That was the first thing he made certain to get for himself.]

Where there's a will, there's a way! I'm sure we can figure something out. I might be good for us to get a desk in here too, I wouldn't be surprised if either of us would end up needing one.

[ If they try and work their way back towards law, that's a certainty anyway. ]

A desk and a bookcase are all I think I would really need as far as furniture go. Perhaps in time, we can have a semi-functional law office.

[The kettle boiled and he began making himself some tea.] Did you happen to want some? I think I got a little bit of sugar as well, in that cupboard if you wanted it sweeter.

[ She nods. ] Maybe a plant or two to give the place a little life, too.

[ It wouldn't be the same without a Charley replica in place. That's even before knowing Phoenix will be joining them here. ]

Thanks. [ She moves to reach for the cupboard he indicates to, reaching up on her tip toes to pull it out. ] I was running around for a while, I probably should have something.

Yes, I think some greenery would be welcome.

[He proceeded to pour out two cups of tea, preparing one with milk and sugar for Athena. He drank his own as is. He set them down on the small table in the kitchen.]

Here you are. I don't think I have any tea cookies yet. Perhaps I'll pick some up when I next go out.

[ It's what she's got used to now, that's all. It makes sense to at least think about it. She takes the tea with a softer "thanks" and moves to sit down at the table. At the moment, it doesn't matter too much about bicuits but maybe some other time they can get some in. ]

Unpacked what? All I have is what I have on me really.

[ It's weird to barely have anything, but despite the few days on Thesa station, they didn't exactly have much at all. ]

That's true.

[He looked over at his sad lonely briefcase that he had left in the living room and privately lamented the loss of huge Steel Samurai collection. Some of his figures were hundreds of dollars as well. All he had left of it was the two volumes of manga he was currently reading.

He sat down on the other chair and sipped at his tea.]

We'll have to make a list of what sorts of things we'll need to get. There are a few cooking implements in here but everything is very basic.

[ At least he has that much. Athena has her bag with her phone and wallet, but there isn't much else in there. ]

Well, it might have to take some time, right? It depends on the work we can get and how much we're paid as well. [ Rather than sipping her own drink, she swirls it a little. ]

Of course. But having a list can help us prioritize what we need first.

[He sighed. It was a first that he didn't have the funds to be able to just get what he needed. He's never been in this situation before.]

Sadly, I'm new to all of this college styled living.

[cykedelic]

[ She nods. ] I understand.

[ It's a mess that neither of them know what they're doing in, really. The one place where Phoenix has more of an idea -- college stlyed living, that is. ]

I'm just as new to it as you are. I fast tracked by living with relatives, so it isn't as though I had to fend for myself either.

[ Then she went straight from Europe and passing the bar... into Phoenix's care. ]

[Miles had been under the Von Karma's funds most of his life, and when he wasn't under his mentor's tutelage, he had other means of earning a high income. He had only ever lived in hotels or had a housekeeper, so basic living was definitely more of Phoenix's domain.]

Well, I suppose we're both useless at this then. I wonder if they have a library with a book on basic income living.

Law school certainly did not prepare me for this.

[Nevermind that hint of a smile.]

There might be. We can look into that later. At least after we know what things are like here. It might be completely different from what we know anyway.
