[For as much as he had been trying to keep the truth about his leg a secret, it didn’t take Jae-Ha long to start regularly soaring through the skies. He’s doing it now, using occasional rooftops as points to bounce up higher again, eyes scanning the ground for anyone suspicious or outright wanted.

That includes, of course, any fugitives.

Anyone might catch him soaring and dropping out of the sky behind those on that list of wanted fugitives, or digging around until he finds particular associates and tries to corner them, as well. Maybe you’re just there as he drops down to look for an associate of the shady man, or maybe you see him corner one right in front of you. Or, maybe you’re a fugitive yourself, and you weren’t expecting a man with green hair to drop out of the sky and land behind you.]

[When he’s not actively chasing down leads, Jae-Ha can be found anywhere. Bars, the streets, flirting with women, shopping at the market… It’s easy to find his leads when surrounded by people, he finds. Today, he’s managed to rent an erhu (or something like it) and is performing a melancholy sounding song on the streets of Olympia.

He might look relaxed, eyes closing from time to time to feel the music, but whether people are donating to him to pay off this rental or not, he’s keeping his ears open for any information. If anyone lingers long enough, he’ll speak up, just wondering if he’s been caught or if the person just happens to be a fan.]

[Score!! Hm, but that's a fair point. He can't say something silly, like that he knows how to do a manicure or something. He orders some elaborate drink that looks gorgeous and then speaks with a cheery smile.]

Oho, a pirate? [He reads One Piece okay this is solidly interesting enough.] Now, is that former because of our present circumstances, or something from your more distant past?

Haha, I feel like that's an extra question, but I'll let you know for free. I stopped being a pirate before I arrived here, but it wasn't so distant, either.

Ah, but I'm still a pirate at heart.

[He is a One Piece pirate, basically, so it's fine.] It's my turn, isn't it? I'll tell you my age if you tell me yours. It's a simple request!

[One round in and this comes up already? He's not really surprised, but he was hoping he could stretch it out a little. This is why he looks actually in deep thought considering this before he speaks.]

Alright. [He already knows Mephisto is a demon, and now he'd have his age? It's fine enough, especially after his nametag already advertised to half of the people he met.]

It's the power of the green dragon. My right leg is incredibly strong, so it's more leaping than anything else.

The green dragon? [He has a feeling any elaboration there might be hiding behind a price tag, but he's gotta ask--] If it's only the right, does that mean it looks different from the other?

[But all right. He's already decided Jae-ha is someone who will likely learn the most about what Mephisto really is among his associates here on El Nysa. Though he'll make a point to gesture for Jae-ha to lean in a bit closer, since he's not going to be saying this very loudly.]

Now let's see... I suppose I may as well list them all, yes? If you were to ask how long I have been a being that could be considered alive, I suppose the answer would be somewhere in the range of a few thousand years, give or take.

But considering who and what I am, it would be more accurate to say I have existed in some form or another since the dawn of time itself -- and will continue to exist until time itself ceases to be.

Oh, but if you were simply interested in my physical age -- I should be roughly in my early 40s!

[He leans over enough to try and wave Mephisto out of talking so loudly, but he's not against kicking him under the table. Gently. Controlled. A nudge.]

Hahahah! All right, then why don't we kick things up a notch here?

If you take two shots, I'll do the same! Neither of us seem to be the sort who enjoy losing, so chances are penalties may not be as plentiful as with other games.

[Without any changes in it at all. He wants some alcohol, after all, and shots are a nice way to start. So, here he goes! One, two! With only a little satisfied sigh after each of them goes down.]

[And Mephisto does the same! The liquor here is on the stronger side, so they may not need quite as many to start feeling the buzz.]

Fufu, now that's the spirit! [Look, Mephisto is at least 75% aware of how obnoxious and hard to deal with he can be when he doesn't have a reason to be cool and professional.]

Ah, but you know -- you never did tell me how old you are! When I made my offer, I didn't mean for to be in place of your initial offer.

[Don't offend him with a guess!! He waves it off with his free hand, playing with the umbrella of his fancy drink with the other.] I'm 25. So I guess that makes you my elder.

[He certainly gets none of that!!] Now, it's my turn, isn't it? If you take two shots, I'll take three.

[He wonders if Mephisto has an ego over his drinking tolerance. He's still confident himself over his own...]

Ohh? Hoping to get ahead of me? Very well. I'll accept your deal!

[He'll even order the shots! Try not to die, Jae-ha.]

Ah, but before you take them-- drink all three without using your hands, and I'll match you with a third.

[He laughs at that suggestion. This is going better than he thought it would— or really, he's having more fun than he thought he would.]

Is it just my hands that are off-limits? I can manage that beautifully.

[So long as there's confirmation that just his hands are off-limits, Jae-Ha reaches for one shot at a time once they arrive, carefully positioning the glass between both forearms and lifting it to his lips.

He manages this without spilling or letting them slip?! Though, when he sets them back down, each one does wiggle a little, and the third shot has him laughing after a long exhale. Ah, he hasn't gone this hard in a long time.]

[He'll nod at the question, figuring he'd either manage something with his arms or just lift the shots off the table with his teeth. But even so, the little display has Mephisto chuckling, leaning over the table a little as he rests his hand on his chin, his own shots taken with little fanfare.]

Fufu, very good! But I'm not so sure beautiful is the word I would have used to describe it.

And why not? How else would you describe it?

[Why isn't he pretty?? Tell him he's pretty. He always wants to hear that, but now he's pushing for it, spinning the straw in his pretty little drink as he waits.]

Then how about you tell me something nice about me first? Surely that's a fair trade?

[Hm... Hmmmm... Jae-Ha seems to be deep in thought at that, and as he thinks, he slowly covers his mouth with a hand.

Should he say something like that? Should he decline it? Is this a deal, so can he ask for something more? He's thinking so hard he's making himself blush.]
