olympia proper;
one - getting reacquainted;the outskirts;
[Before taking ill, Yona had spent much of her time in the market district - mainly because she's always been easily distracted by interesting things. As a result, she hadn't been completely familiar with other parts of the city before then, though she did make a few forays into the theater district.
No more. Now that she's back, she has every intention of learning her way around the city she and her friens have returned to.
Her wandering takes her almost everywhere - and as a result, she ends up hopelessly, uselessly lost. Maybe you'll catch her looking at her surroundings with a puzzled expression.]
...wait, was I supposed to turn right at the last street, or the next one?
[Help.]
two - weapons galore;
[You must never touch weapons, Yona.
Her father's words are fresh in her mind as she stands outside the weapons shop. Of course - she's already disobeyed him once, when practicing throwing daggers. But she can only keep "borrowing" from Jae-Ha and sneaking them back to him for so long, and they're his weapons, in the end; she needs to find something that suits her.
Sooner or later, she was always going to have to look out for herself.
So in she goes, although she nearly immediately looks a bit overwhelmed at all the different choices. Oh boy.]
There's so many of them...
three - order up;
[She can't just rely on other people to buy her things forever (although to be truthful, it's worked for her so far).
So, not long after they return to Olympia, Yona starts looking for work. Her problem is there aren't a lot of things she already knows how to do well - but part-time work serving food at a cafe seems simple enough, and she's managed to get a job as a waitress at the Wyvernest, which suits her just fine. One of the most interesting things about Wyver was the dragons, after all.
Now she's sort of got the best of both worlds - she can see the baby dragons while she's working, and can learn about them as she does. (The owner doesn't rebuff her when she asks for employment as some others have, but maybe that's because they remember she wore a Wyver pin at the gala. Maybe they think she knows more about dragons than she actually does.)
But at the moment? It's time to serve some customers! Yona looks up when she hears the door open and fixes the person who's just entered with a smile.]
Welcome to the Wyvernest! How many would you like a table for today?
one - neutrality problems;a visit to wyver;
[The first time she borrows a mount to go exploring, she runs into some of the people who have left the city.
...up until that moment, she hadn't realized just how bad things had gotten. Sure, there were people who were vocal about wanting to keep themselves separate from the people of Wyver, and people who were talking about fighting with them... but she'd believed it was just talk. After all, when she'd gotten sick, the medicine that had cured her had only existed because they'd cooperated with them.
But, no. Apparently it is that bad. And when she hears that people on both sides have been refused help from the Sanctuary and the Altar of Volkkra...
Well, she can't take it. She really can't take it.
So, from time to time, she ventures out from the city on a mount for a "picnic," though what she's got packed is more along the lines of simple food for traveling, cloth cut into bandages, and other things she's managed to purchase with her earnings from the Wyvernest cafe. Some days, when she's gotten especially good tips, she has a little more.
Some days, when business has been slow, she's got a little less.
Either way, she's trying. And she could probably use a little help... be it with passing things out to people who need them, or actually providing effective medical assistance, or not getting mugged or attacked by wild animals or something.]
two - edrathe ruins;
[Is it foolish to be out here? Probably. Is that going to stop her from looking around? Probably not.
...except it really should have, because enough time has passed that Yona's borrowed mount has decided to head back to the stables and has definitely left her behind. She's wandering around near the entrance now, unsure if she's actually where she left it or if she's just gotten terribly turned around.]
Hello?
[...there's that strange rumbling noise; she jolts, then glances over her shoulder.]
Is someone here...?
one - dragonwatching;wildcard;
[No amount of tension is going to keep Yona out of Wyver - for the time being, anyway. But even she's not that stupid; when she does take off for the hotter country, about midway through the month, she at least has the sense to change the style of clothing she's wearing and smooth down her hair. It's perhaps not the most effective disguise she could have gone with, but at least when her hair reverts back to its usual frizzy state, she can use that as an excuse -
It couldn't have been me you saw! Do you really think I could get my hair to look like that?
Et cetera, et cetera.
Anyway, now that she's back in Wyver, she's going to be visiting some friends - but she's also going to be taking the time to go observe some fully-grown dragons. ...from a distance, of course; she doesn't want to be eaten. Still.
There's no small amount of admiration in her eyes as she watches them.]
They really are amazing...!
two - lagoons;
[Before she goes back to Olympia, she has to stop at the lagoons. Has to. There's no two ways about it. They're one of the things she enjoyed most about the jungle country, and she doesn't know when she'll get the chance to bathe in them again.
The public bathhouses in Olympia are perhaps a little more elegant, but the lagoon has its charm, too.
For now, Yona lounges in one of the public pools, her hair fanning out across the surface of the water and preserving her modesty. But ultimately, a bath is a bath. There's a time and a place for being naked; this is one of them.
So she doesn't really think twice about it when she catches sight of someone's feet at the water's edge - she waves them over with a smile.]
Come in, the water's great!
[If none of the above works for you, just hit me with whatever! I just ask that you let me know when and where it's happening; I can come up with a justification for Yona to be wherever you'd like. Alternatively, hit me up by PM or athungriest and I'll be glad to write a personalized starter for you.]
closed to mikazuki;
Mikazuki! There you are!
[In retrospect, she probably should have given him a heads-up by the communication device that she was visiting, buuuut... hindsight is 20/20, she doesn't realize that until she sees him, and she can't change the past. So. Instead, she's going to run at him and attempt to give him a hug.]
no subject
He's not the softest person to hug at high speeds, but she could probably do worse. ]
— Yona? I didn't know you'd be here.
[ hindsight, etc., etc. ]
no subject
[Or something like that.
Yona beams at him and steps back from the hug once she's satisfied with it, then eyes the crate he's unloading.]

hi! are you free to talk about that thing we were talking about before today?
Eventually, they figure out a place to meet, and she's waiting there a little impatiently. She greets him nicely enough when he arrives, but then she's launching right into it -]
You said it would take a while to get it all, right? I cleared the whole day today, so don't worry about it running late! Keep explaining to me as many times as it takes!
no subject
Yona. [He acknowledges her in greeting when he arrives, and an arm--entirely detached from his body--appears from thin air between them, floating independently in the air. It waves briefly in a 'walk with me' gesture before vanishing back into the ether.]
There is a lot to discuss, and I will attempt to translate these concepts into language you can understand. But first, I must set a baseline for our conversation.
This world exists in three-dimensional space--everything you perceive within it exists in terms of these three dimensions; length, [And when his hand appears again, there is a sheet of paper floating above it, which folds in on itself to create the thinnest line its mass would allow.] height, [The sheet unfolds into a flat plane again.] and depth. [And finally, the paper folds in the air until it creates a cube.]
You can comprehend this, correct?
no subject
And as he starts to explain, she nods thoughtfully. That... makes sense. She's never heard the terms before, but...]
Uh-huh. That's why we're not flat like pieces of paper, right?

Apparently she didn't learn her lesson with Mikazuki. So. Here she is, wandering the streets, keeping her eyes peeled for a shock of red hair -
And miraculously, she spots her.]
Miss Shura! [She's beaming.] Miss Shura, over here!
no subject
Yona distracts Shura from her plans, but it's not a bad thing. Maybe it'd be better just to get a snack anyway. Shura stops, turns to where she hears Yona's voice coming. What did she find a good deal on something? Shura will oblige her, making her way from down the street to meet her. It wasn't like she didn't have time to kill.]
Yo. Find something interesting or somethin'? You look pretty excited.
no subject
[She's all smiles as she jogs the rest of the way to her, and also a little out of breath. Travel will do that to a girl, though luckily, she's built up enough stamina since coming here that she's not totally wiped out.]
I have to go back to Olympia soon... I was worried I wouldn't see you before then.

hi prompto!
i'm in wyver today
are you still willing to teach me about guns?
[Quick and to the point.
Once they work out a place to meet, she heads straight there, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and totally ready to accidentally shoot a man. Or two. Or three.]
Thank you for taking the time to teach me!
no subject
hey yona!!!
you bet i am
you might even say i'm trigger-happy to!
[ And then he sends her directions (poorly-laid directions, but directions all the same) to some training grounds he's used before with Alisaie. It's a decent open space with some targets already lined up, and they're definitely going to demolish those today, whoops. ]
Hey, don't mention it! Always happy to pass on the fine art of shootin' things.
[ Even if he...has no idea how to...teach things.
Giving her a considering look, Prompto summons a pistol into his hand in a flash of white-blue light. ]

Of course, the best-laid plans, and all...
Yona can't remember which of them noticed the ships first, but one thing leads to another, and they wind up within view of the miners' supply caches. More specifically - that means they get a great view of the pirates just loading up on things and walking away.
She frowns as they watch from a safe distance.]
...it doesn't look like they're up to anything good...
no subject
[What an odd little group they are. It wasn't too often Mephisto had the opportunity to interact with Yona alongside the likes of Slaine and Jae-ha... but something like this was unexpected! And far more exciting than spending the afternoon teasing Jae-ha behind the other two's backs about this being a double date.]
[...okay, that was a lot of fun too, but this was exciting fun!!]
Shall we take a closer look just to be sure?

...hey, Faust? Did you ever meet Slaine when you were in your real form, or does he only know you as a dog?
no subject
Oh, we've met a handful of times, actually. Though I wouldn't say we're particularly close. He's a rather shy young man, after all.
[Which made him way too fun to tease and honestly he struggled to hold back sometimes. He'd probably traumatize the kid if he went all out.]
[But a part of him wonders what would happen if he pushed him too much. Would he actually get an emotion other than outright gloominess out of him??]

Hmmm... well, okay then!
[Luckily (?) for him, Yona is pretty used to people who get flustered over minor things. This is barely a blip on the radar, so when he tells her not to worry, she opts not to worry.]
Hey, do you want to dance? Or were you taking a break?
Re: closed to william;

quest » disturbing the dead - allen + mephisto;
...and no, that's not the start of a bad joke; that's what's really happening here. Even Yona thinks this might be a bad idea, but one thing has led to another, and here they are. Turning back now feels like giving up, and honestly?
She's too stubborn to do that. So here they go.]
This... shouldn't be too hard, right? We just have to find something nice in there.
[...her voice is only a little shaky!]
no subject
It is.Although bearing a plain eyepatch now over the right one, that's fairly obvious. Honestly it just took a few comments of "what's wrong with your eye" from people in the market and realizing they didn't mean the one that was actually different before he caved. At least it doesn't draw the same kind of attention as one eye that focuses and a cloudy one that.. doesn't. It's no different than wearing gloves, he'll tell himself...
He cocks his head at Yona for a moment though, the slight tremor not missed, and he takes a moment to smile. With bright reassurance! ]
Mn! With how long it's been since anyone was here, I'm sure it won't be any trouble. [ And it's not like they're grave robbing. This is stuff actual robbers left behind! ... right?? And he is going to staunchly ignore the rumors that it's haunted. Don't mind how twitchy his fingers seem to be. Haha, ha..
...although his gaze is going to trail down somewhat skeptically to her dog. Isn't it a little... small and fancy to bring somewhere like this?

quest » a day in the life - mephisto;
Here's Yona with smooth, silky black hair, deliberately wearing an unfashionable outfit that she's going to burn as soon as this is over (not to cover her tracks, but because she just dislikes it that much). Here's Yona a few blocks away from the guard house, kneeling down to pet Mephisto, who is, of course, a dog.]
