[Being allowed to wander around on her own is still taking some getting used to.

Yona doesn't live in a castle anymore, and she can come and go as she pleases - provided that Hak and Jae-Ha don't catch her getting up to mischief, anyway. There's something almost exhilarating about the freedom, but it leaves her a little anxious, too - what if she does get in over her head?

But she'll never figure anything out if she sits around at home all day, so into town she goes.

The theater and market districts are what catch her eye the most, and you might run into her examining jewelry and clothes at the market, or admiring the performers near the theater.]

Wow...

[Regardless of where you do find her, though, she's bright-eyed and excited. This is all so cool.

...but, uh, she's also a sitting duck for pickpockets, so maybe someone better stop her from making eyes at all the pretty clothes and pretty people before she winds up in some kind of trouble. Or, you know, tell her to stop staring at them, if they're the object of her attention at this time.]

[Honestly, it was only a matter of time before she came back up here.

She's among the stasis pods again, seeking certain familiar people. She remembers seeing Soo-won asleep in one of these pods, so she knows he's safe here somewhere, but she'd feel a little better about things if she could see her father's face, too.

So as the hours tick by, she wanders the pods, carefully examining the people who are still asleep. It's not unlikely that she'll get distracted, though - you might find her gazing longingly at Soo-won's face if she stumbles upon his pod again, or find her looking curiously at an assortment of interesting-looking people that she doesn't seem to recognize, or even find her lingering someone you recognize (especially if your castmate is attractive, because she likes pretty faces).]

...they really saved a lot of people, didn't they...

[So, back on Olympia. The weather's not too bad today, which is probably a good thing, because it's hard to walk a dog in the rain. And Yona sure has found a dog somewhere, and she sure has, uh, adopted it.

I'm so sorry to everyone involved in this.

Anyway, they're out for a walk, and she's debating heading to the market district to look for more ribbons to tie around his neck. This is what she's spending Hak's hard-earned silver on, isn't it...]

What do you think, boy? Do you like blue or green better? ...bark once for blue and twice for green!

[Can he even see color? She doesn't know.

Anyway, they're bound to run into someone she knows eventually, but for now she's just enjoying the nice day and occasionally crouching down to give Mephisto a pet or two because he's just too cute in this form (and also she doesn't know he's not a real dog).]

[I'm not even sure how we're going to do this reveal but we joked about ~breaking a curse~ so you know what? Here we go.

It's late, they've both tuckered themselves out wandering around, and now they're back at Yona's place. It's late and she's a little tired, but there's always time for snuggling with a dog, so she's petting him and -

She leans in and drops a kiss on top of his head!]

[Mephisto has been dutifully playing his role well, never once doing anything to give the impression that he was anything more than a simple dog. Sure, there were a few things that might seem out of the ordinary, like the lack of any hand or face licking, and being somewhat picky when it comes to food. But aside from that, he was the perfect little puppydog!]

[Seriously, someone's gotta tell this guy to get better hobbies.]

[But he knew he couldn't keep it up forever, especially now that he's been found out by others. So he figured out a plan... he was a demon after all. Manipulating others was his specialty! This probably wasn't even the first time he's used this particular plan! But here it goes--]

[As soon as Yona kisses him on the head, a cloud of sparkles and smoke begins to surround her little dog, as he's suddenly pulled back and into the air by a ~mysterious force~! And with another poof, her little dog is gone... and in his place, kneeling on the ground with a look of shock and wearing his signature white suit, is Mephisto.]

[...time to ham it up.]

I... I've turned back? The curse, it's-- it's been broken!

[A sitting duck and a near victim actually. Mai may be a rich girl herself but she's developed into the guarded type through the years, particularly once she started knife practice and all that. She's only vaguely interested in clothing and jewelry, though a particularly pink piece catches her gaze for a moment and in turn manages to make her note the movement of a certain shady person near Yona herself. The person is so covered up that Mai isn't quite sure if it's a man or a woman.

Mai watches a moment silently, trying to figure out if they're going to do what she thinks they're going to do. And sure enough there they go with some deft fingers, making their move even as Mai makes her way casually closer to Yona.]

Hey.

[The would-be pickpocket starts, flicking their gaze over to Mai. She gives her wrist a practiced flick, a knife sliding into her palm quickly and more importantly out of the sight of most of the people around them. She makes sure to shift her hand just right so the light of the brilliantly nice sun today catches on it's edge, drawing the attention of the pickpocket she's tilting it towards without directly pointing it.

Her expression darkens. Even without pointing the weapon, the gesture is obvious enough.]

You better get going. And don't you dare pull this kind of stunt again.

Yona dear!

[ Sure enough, at some point during their walk, they'll come across Jae-Ha and Hak walking together. It's probably the only time to catch Jae-Ha on the ground instead of jumping around-- company. He's waving from a small distance away, slapping Hak on the back in a clear go get her fashion as he walks over himself. Not knowing the dog himself, just yet, he crouches in front of him with a smile. ]

What's this? Have you replaced Hak already? [ Haha he's so funny ]

_{[It just so happens that Yona isn't alone in the Stasis Unit and one person in particular has overheard her. In fact, she's right in his way on his path toward the exit, after having visited Asseylum's pod. Even more strange is the pod she's currently preoccupied with - housing none other than Count Cruhteo. Slaine's still not sure how they've managed to save the dead but he'll cross that bridge when he comes to it. At least he doesn't want to murder Cruhteo like he does Inaho and Count Saazbaum.]}

They certainly did.

[She certainly stands out easily enough, that's for sure. Link is able to spot that telltale flash of bright red hair without much trouble, recalling the girl he'd briefly met when he'd first arrived on the planet.

Sharp eyes also spot somebody else who's noticed the girl and he quickly works his way through the crowd.

Near the stall, somebody bumps into Yona as she stares at the pretty jewelry hard enough to at least jostle the poor girl before attempting to quickly take his leave with barely an apology. He makes it only a few steps before Link makes his move, grabbing his collar roughly and shutting down any protests with a rather intense glare. Snatching something from the pickpocket, he shoves him away none too gently and offers up Yona's nearly-snatched coinpurse out to her.]

You should keep a closer eye on your surroundings.

[Really, it's no skin off Dio's ass whether or not Yona gets herself swindled. Someone else can play the hero. But he can't help pausing when he sees the way she's taking in her surroundings like a kid at a carnival.]

What, you never seen a city before? You're gonna freak someone out if you carry on like that.

[At least he remembers her. Hard to forget the "do you stab yourself in the ass when you sit down" conversation.]
